Test drove a Mini Cooper S today. Think I'll purchase tomorrow. Not new, it's ten months old

It's got Union Jack tail lights which in very swayed by Grin

Anyway - before I bite the bullet - do you love your mini and if so, why?

@Accountant222 you're welcome. I'd never driven one before yesterday. Even with the guy next to me and some mates in the back (sneaked out whilst DH at work Grin - I'll tell him today I'm getting it. Maybe) I enjoyed the drive so it'll be brilliant on my own . It just felt 'solid' in a way other small cars don't

We love the Minis with Union Jack tail lights. I hope whoever designed them got an award for it.

The DC's play "MINI I WIN!" when we're in the car. Whoever sees a mini has to announce it. They don't even keep score.

I had a sport for 3 years and loved it - only changed to an estate as DHs car was no longer available for camping with Cub Scouts.

Could get huge amounts in the boot.
Lovely acceleration and drive.
Easy to park.
Looked seriously cool!
Mirrors worked well to see around me (current car mirrors are appalling!).
No cruise control but was great for long distances despite that, and quite economical.
And plenty of space for little bits around the cockpit.

Took 4 comfortably but couldn’t take 5.
That was about the only drawback.

Went very well in snowy weather!

@Idontmeanto I have the Mini Countryman S all wheel drive with the chrome bits and some sort of extra pack - love it so far, but not had chance to test in snow and ice.

Oh it’s lovely to see so many Mini enthusiasts.

I got a 6 month old Mini Countryman 4wd in May, it’s a petrol, automatic
. I absolutely love it! Have had Mercedes for 15 years and was a bit hesitant about changing brand, but I’m so glad I did.
And Dh is 6ft 2 and he fits in it easily and also likes driving it, which can be a bit annoying as he tends to be driving it more than his car at the moment.

The only issue I do have is working out how to control/change anything on the dash. It seems a little bit too complicated.
