Who the hell is Dave?

At Christmas and New Year, for the last 4/5 years I get best wishes text messages from Dave. I don't know who he is. I could ask him I suppose, but I quite like the mystery. I was very drunk last night and almost texted him back. Glad I didn't!

We also get Christmas cards from Pam and Vic for the previous owners of the house from 10 years ago. We always open them and display them and have a little toast to them on Christmas day.

Any similar stories?

I spent a few minutes texting my BIL one year, lots of replies back - thought he was being rather chatty. Only after a while did the responder admit it wasn't BIL at all and just a random stranger! I hadn't realised BIL had had to hand back his work phone and a new colleague was now using it. He was friendly though!

I’ve had a texts telling me to collect my Argos order and one from Dominoes saying my pizza is on the way. Both from stores in Dumbarton. I live 200 miles from Dumbarton and have never even visited!
