Morning world, hope you're all ok.

Today im full of a cold and been up hours already, tidied everything away and got sorted so now I'm going to have a quick shower get into some fresh PJs and then snuggle under my throw and watch something easy on TV. DD is playing quietly, DP is relaxing with something he got yesterday so I'm hoping the whole day stays just like this. We'll have some leftovers for food later and nibble on what ever takes our fancy around it.

*What are you upto?
*
Hope what ever it is, you have a nice day xx

Dp is just starting to NG and the veggie course for dinner at mils this evening. I might go do some laundry. Dd's both in their beds on tablets /laptops. Heading to my mums on Friday, so need to get organised for that at some point.

crosser62 · 26/12/2018 10:44

Don’t know, I just don’t know.
Dh has tidied stuff away, piled stuff on the stairs to go up stairs then I came down with the washing basket and yes dear viewers, I fell down the stairs after slipping on lynx fucking Africa boxes... currently nursing badly bruised elbows, toes and thank god for my great fat arse, I swear it saving life this morning!

I’m off to work later, a bit of respite from a noisy, messy DEATHTRAP of a house.

BillywigSting · 26/12/2018 10:48

We're staying at home for the first time in years (normally dragged to my granny's to see extended family).

Me and ds are still in pj's, he's getting to play with all his new toys and I'm chilling out watching short circuit.

Dp has gone to the shop to get a birthday card for his sister then we're probably going to have a bit of a tidy up and eat something nice.

Might go for a walk in the meadow later if I can be bothered getting dressed Grin

Crunchymum · 26/12/2018 10:50

Have a rotten hangover so it's a lazy day for us.

Kids are happy enough playing with their new toys / watching movies. DP can sort out food and baths etc.

I'm planning on doing the bare minimum Shock I'll go back to being a proper parent tomorrow.

Dominos for dinner later.

brick10 · 26/12/2018 10:51

Easy morning at home, tidy up, clean then this afternoon we’re braving the shops just a little to spend christmas money. Out for a meal and then seeing Magic Mike at the Hippodrome. We have VIP seats and meet and greet so looking forward to having a few laughs tonight Grin

Dowser · 26/12/2018 11:19

Don’t know. Absolute nothing for now.
It’s good to be able to just choose.
My dd will be relaxing after hosting 12 of us yesterday Amy son and family are off to his fil for dinner

And we are doing nothing.
All good.

U2HasTheEdge · 26/12/2018 11:26

I have my mum and sister here and my brother and his family will pop in early evening.

We are having a buffet. Turkey, stuffing, pigs in blankets, jacket potatoes, salad, and so on.

Pascha · 26/12/2018 11:30

We're up, still mostly in pjs, DH has an achy cold. The boys are watching racing on YouTube while playing on the floor with their own racing cars. Half a hotwheels track creation has been built and abandoned, they'll come back to it later.

DH has gone to get dressed and make beds etc. I think he wants to go to the woods later and the children will definitely be up for that. I may go.

Food wise, the most I shall cook is chips to go with leftover meat.

The house will get a thorough cleaning and tidy tomorrow, all decorations will come down and all toys found a home. All rubbish gifts will be piled up for regifting, charity or bin. By the end of the week we'll all be straight again and Ds2 can have his birthday untainted by Christmas.

SauvingnonBlanketyBlanc · 26/12/2018 11:34

On the sofa with what feels like flu.My skin hurts,I'm aching and I've thrown up twice

Bouledeneige · 26/12/2018 11:44

DCs just went off with XH so I'm all on my own. I'm sitting in bed watching TV - might tidy up later and then go for a walk with my pal. Might go to the cinema or do nothing at all. Feeling a bit sad and alone but it's only one day and I'm seeing friends tomorrow.

Groovee · 26/12/2018 11:45

Going to see Mary Poppins then home for dinner with the in-laws. Table is set, food all prepped.

But I'm unwell. Nasty virus going about work so presuming I have the start of that.

Dd feels sorry for herself.

Corbynscat · 26/12/2018 11:48

Woke up at about 8:30
Done a very lazy clean and hoover round so House is presentable for when Step pa turns up
Going to laze about until I start cooking the Boxing Day buffet
Kids have opened some more toys so playing happily so all in all a standard Boxing Day here

icannotremember · 26/12/2018 11:49

Have played for a looooooong time with ds3's new shop (to be fair the scanner really bleeps and blinks and is pretty cool!) and watched him ride his new bike up and down the hall, explained to ds2 that his new computer is not broken but that if he wants it to recognise the mouse and keyboard he needs to connect them to the computer and not his entirely separate fecking Xbox, put more wine in the fridge because I think I am going to feel the need later... now hiding in the bathroom gathering strength to take ds3 and the new bike (and new hat and new bag and as many new toys as he cram in the bag) to the park. Planning to eat leftovers all day so no cooking way hey!

SixButterflies · 26/12/2018 11:50

We stayed in bed til 10! Kids (4 & 2) and breakfast and telly. Lovely. It all got a bit much by 10.05.😅

Housework. Ugh.

I've done a treasure hunt in the (large, communal) garden for the children. Coins and chocolates from the tree all over the place. I've taken photos of where they're hidden and sent them to my wife. She's taken them out there now to get the cobwebs blown away for half an hour.

Probs McDonald's this afternoon. Our leisure centre is closed so none of the usual winter children's activities of swimming and soft play today.

Was going to buy a big new telly in the sales but can't face the Purley Way.

SixButterflies · 26/12/2018 11:50

Oh - and I've taken the tree etc down! Huzzah.

starrynight19 · 26/12/2018 11:52

We are hosting a Christmas family get together this afternoon / eve.
Boxing Day is a busy day for us all exchanging gifts with family as we spend Christmas Day just us.
Hence the kids are super excited again.

SixButterflies · 26/12/2018 11:52

Jesus I'm hopeless. I forgot to also say I made an amazing bubble!😃

BitchQueen90 · 26/12/2018 12:03

Visiting family members and having a buffet. Tonight it will be just DS and I at home which I'm looking forward to.

Misty9 · 26/12/2018 12:07

Chilling out in our comfies (pjs or cosy clothes). The kids are absorbed in playing with their new stuff, dh is dozing on the sofa and I've done a tidy up and now contemplating walking into the city for some window shopping, but not sure I can be bothered. Went out for Xmas dinner so no leftovers...and we've had enough of food anyway! Dh is now hassling the kids to get dressed and I've told him to calm down and leave them be Xmas Hmm

catenthusiast · 26/12/2018 12:34

Both DH and I have been hit with "the cold" and after hosting for the first time yesterday are knackered! Going to have a leftovers lunch spread and then flop about in our pjs, finish the clean up and maybe start taking a few bits down (I like the house fresh and clean for the new year). Back to work for DH tomorrow so a nice lazy one Smile

llangennith · 26/12/2018 12:47

Thinking about getting dressed and taking dogs for a walk to Hove Park with DD while the grandkids are having a nice day with their dad's family. Better hurry as the cafe in the park shuts at 2😂

itallhappensforareason · 26/12/2018 12:51

Food, football, films, more food, maybe a cheeky Baileys.

ShatnersWig · 26/12/2018 12:54

SlowNorris · 26/12/2018 13:21

Other than that, watching movies and Looking forward to the best part of a Christmas dinner - the bubble and squeak leftovers Xmas Smile mmmmmm

Starlight90 · 26/12/2018 13:38
