It's the middle of the night. Why are you awake?

I'm at work.

@ilovepuppys, Please call a friend or family member they really would want you to call them to help support you. Take care.

San, so sorry. Take care of yourself.

Been awake since 3.30am and given up trying to sleep now, no reason I just get periods of insomnia.

Giving my son some insulin via his pump. He's grown a bit lately so is starting to need more insulin from 3 in the morning (something called dawn phenomenon). I'm adjusting the background insulin rates on his pump to deal with this, but because too much insulin could send him into a hypo, I have to change the rates slowly every few days. But I don't want him to wake up with high blood sugar so I'm getting up in the early hours to give him a "correction". Luckily he has a continuous glucose monitor (which we pay for) and an insulin pump so he can sleep through the process rather than doing a blood test and injection in the night.

OH and I might finally be over & big interview nerves been giving me insomnia all week anyway. Then 3 year old who never sleeps through had bad dream.

I'm so sorry, San & baby.

@HappyInL0nd0n I just feel so heartbroken - I don't know what I'll do without her. We've been together since university and I don't even really know who I am without her. I'm so glad we have our baby; even though I'm the birth mother and he's not genetically hers, I see so much of her in him.
