Why are you awake?

It's the middle of the night. Why are you awake?

I'm at work.

Just wide awake for no particular reason.
I hate it as it has me all over the place for a few days.

I'm on taxi duty for DD and friends who are out clubbing. Picking them up at 4am

Just got home from work. Intrigued to know what jobs you other late night workers do. I work in a taxi office (the glamour....)

Because my days and nights have totally flipped but last night I managed to get to sleep around two last night and thought yay I'll be up at 10ish tomorrow and then I'll be asleep even earlier and instead I managed to sleep through all my alarms waking at half 1 this morning and while still exhausted I can't sleep at all.

OH being an arse, and I'm in a lot of pain, so trying to paint to take my mind off it. (Not very successfully though, and very slow due to the pain).

I crashed out early last night - absolutely exhausted with kids, life, you know how it is... I burst into tears trying to corral the children to brush their teeth and go to bed so DH took over and sent me to bed myself. My son wanted to sleep with me, so I let him, but in the middle of the night he rolled over and whacked me in the face which woke me, then I needed a drink, then I needed a wee, then decided I was hungry and anyway now I'm wide awake. Going to try and get back to bed though.

DH snoring. As usual 🙄

I found out yesterday that there's nothing more that can be done to treat my wife's cancer. She may or may not live until Christmas. I feel like I'll never sleep again.

Gosh, I'm really sorry about that, San, how is your wife holding up?

Awake bu...t ...perhaps....not woke.
Fell asleep about 5pm (not sure as fell asleep bit fed & us fed cats & usually do that at 5). Woke at 2am.

Husb came home from work and brought fish and chips. Is awful heated up. One of my cats had most but won't tell husband.

Now watching an old episode of 'Cold Feet' b4 going to bed.

I was coming on here to moan about a cough and insomnia but I'll gladly take them now.

Meant to say "but fed cats..."

She's being brave, as usual. She's in hospital in another city tonight while I look after our 8-month old at home, but she gets to come home in the morning. I just want to hug her.

I'm afraid my reason is terribly mundane: I'm an American!

Feeding my teething 15 month old.

I’m 33 weeks pregnant with a very large baby and feeling paranoid about coming early! Very stressed as I am a surrogate and the parents are on holiday just now, so hopefully I’ll go back to sleep and he will stay in for a few more weeks!

Worried about stuff. Upset that my nan is unlikely to live past the next few days.

I woke up for no reason and now can't get back to sleep. Very frustrating.

Oh San and Not sure I’m so sorry.

I’m up for the second night with cramps. 37 weeks pregnant.

Awake as usual with a DC, who has spent their lifetime so far apparently believing that sleep is for the weak. I am weak, and I don't mind admitting it or who knows it.

Wishing everyone some rest, but especially San - sending you a strong hug, if you'll permit me.
