Anyone tried Aldi skincare?

I always think ooh that actually looks like a decent range, whenever I walk past it. I'm about to run out of my dearer stuff, and there are no good offers on, and my skin is nothing amazing anyway. Just normal. Is it worth giving the Aldi range a go? I'm 30s and would probably just be after basic cleanser and moisturiser for starters. Nose is shiny but the rest is dry-ish, I need a decent moisturiser especially in the winter but more runny than rich. I have used the body lotion and found it very reasonable.

The Lacura stuff is great. I switched from high end to it and haven't noticed the difference.

TheQueef · 23/11/2018 10:20

I love lacura it really suits my combination skin.

sheepbear · 23/11/2018 10:22

Yes I use the caviar moisturiser. It is very rich so you only need a little bit. Honestly it has transformed my skin. I hardly ever get breakouts now and my skin is glowy like it has never been.
I know everyone's skin is different and it may not work for you but I would say it's definitely worth a try.

I use the lacura soy serum and day moisturiser (I've never used night creams). My skin feels lovely. I'm 58 my skin is on the dry side at the hairline but the rest is normal. I haven't tried the cleansers yet as still finishing off my others but when these are gone I will use.
For the price of these it's worth giving it ago.

GrabEmByThePatriarchy · 23/11/2018 10:26

This is encouraging! Sheepbear do you think the caviar would be a bit much for someone who tends to like runny? I don't really have many wrinkles but i do get the odd blemish.

I love the Lacura Q10 stuff and it's a fraction of the price of other ones I've tried. I'm 40 and am getting a serious turkey neck but it's definitely looking better since using Aldi's stuff.

franklyshankly2 · 23/11/2018 11:10

The lacura range is now my go to favourite. They often do knock offs of high end products for a fraction of the price and it’s just as good.

Foxyloxy1plus1 · 23/11/2018 11:30

Definitely the Lacura range. Why buy Creme de la Mer when you could have a lifetime supply of Aldi stuff for the price of onepot of the other.

DeadCertain · 23/11/2018 11:37

I love the Lacura range; I use the face wash, serum, Caviar moisturiser, 3 minute peel mask BB cream and Healthy Glow toner. All very good.

Bombardier25966 · 23/11/2018 11:40

I love the hot cloth cleanser.

And the charcoal mask.

Partner uses the Q10 range and won't swap to anything else.

TheGirlWithGlassFeet · 23/11/2018 11:42

I use the cleanse and polish which is really nice. It smells lovely. Also the glycolic pads are brilliant. They really exfoliate and make you feel super clean and smooth.

DraculaAD1972 · 23/11/2018 11:46

I like the glow tonic

twilightcafe · 23/11/2018 11:47

I really like the Q10 or Soy serums (which I buy in bulk) and the glow tonic.

Not keen on the face creams, as they are too fragranced.

SauvingnonBlanketyBlanc · 23/11/2018 11:49

The q10? Serum is brill,it moisturises and sinks in fast

Rattymare · 23/11/2018 11:50

I use the Lacura Expert - Day/Night cream (red pot) it's really good stuff but very strongly scented.
Going to try the Caviar one next time.

GrabEmByThePatriarchy · 23/11/2018 14:00

What's the consistency of the serums like? Are people using as well as or instead of moisturiser?

OP posts:
TheQueef · 23/11/2018 14:09

The q10 serum is a bit rich for me so I don't after that.
The soy serum is my fave, it's less greasy.

sheepbear · 23/11/2018 14:16

I don't know, it is quite thick and very rich. That is why I only use a little bit and let it sink in to my skin.
If you are set on having a very 'liquidy' moisturiser then this is not the one for you. However, my preference is generally for a more liquidy moisturiser but I have got used to this one and the effects on my skin are amazing. I still think it's worth a go and you can't really go wrong with the price it is selling for!
I have tried lots of different skin care and still prefer this to more expensive versions.

Queenofthedrivensnow · 23/11/2018 14:19

Only tried the face creams. They are quite rich so better as night cream but very nice to use and seem v good. Posher fragrance too

Rafflesway · 23/11/2018 14:22

I'm over 60 and have been using the Lacura soy day and night creams for several years now. My skin is in the best condition it has been for decades.

I used Lancôme previously! 🤔

GrabEmByThePatriarchy · 23/11/2018 14:27

I guess as it's winter something thicker might be in order. I'm feeling a bit cracky already.

I love the serum and creams and have used both for years now. I especially like the soy serum and q10 day cream. The experte day and night creams are also good. I don't use anything else.

AlexaAmbidextra · 23/11/2018 21:25

Their Lacura range is brilliant.

MissMarplesKnitting · 23/11/2018 21:30

I bought a serum and it made my skin angry.

FrankiesKnuckle · 23/11/2018 21:30

Another vote for the caviar day and night cream.
The spf in the day cream is great.
