Anyone tried Aldi skincare?

I always think ooh that actually looks like a decent range, whenever I walk past it. I'm about to run out of my dearer stuff, and there are no good offers on, and my skin is nothing amazing anyway. Just normal. Is it worth giving the Aldi range a go? I'm 30s and would probably just be after basic cleanser and moisturiser for starters. Nose is shiny but the rest is dry-ish, I need a decent moisturiser especially in the winter but more runny than rich. I have used the body lotion and found it very reasonable.

The cavier moisturiser gave me spots but I really like the hyaluronic serum.

I used the Lacura Q10 Day cream twice and came out in a hideous, dry raised rash. 2 weeks later and it’s finally fading. Looked online at reviews and seems this happens a lot. Gutted, was hoping for a cheap skin transformer!

Oops maybe I'll; patch test first then!

Aldi stuff is buav approved too.

Unlike the high end stuff that tests on animals for the Chinese market.

I used their caviar serum and it was fabulous. They seem to have discontinued it now, which is disappointing. I still use the caviar moisturiser daily and it is a huge saving on La Prairie. I genuinely don’t notice any difference between the brands - except to my bank balance!

Ok, ended up on the Q10 day cream as that was what DH could find. I like the consistency, it's a bit thicker without being too rich for me, and the smell isn't that strong. I've done a patch test and will keep doing that for a couple of days, then report back!
