The other one expired and it doesn't look like anyone else has created one! So I get another barn and leslie didn't steal my victory like last time!!!

I guess technically, technically MN won the last one. However, this is MY barn.

Rules:

Feed the ninja owl(s) in the rafters, cake only. Especially me. I get hungry and cannot eat anything other than cake and no yukky healthy stuff in cake.

No discussion at all about yukky healthy food.

Um..

Did I mention I like cake???

We talk about anything and everything, except obviously healthy food.

It's not advisable to try and win the thread and mention another is about to expire because some people use it to cheat.....

Cheese on toast is best if you slowly cook loads of onions to go with it. Little bit of oil and then stick the lid on so the liquid stays, stirring occasionally. Yum!

I have an update on DS1's boots so...last night...
DS1: You know Nike?
Me: Yeah
DS1: They have black boots called 'phantom' do you want to see?
Me: No
DS1: I just really love them
Me: I don't like Rugby boots so I don't want to see.

Xmas Grin It'll be worth it in the end and don't worry, nothing's knew- I'm always mentally tough on them Grin He just laughed and walked back off with the iPad, drooling.

I've just grated seven different types of cheese (mostly just little scraps, sadly) for our dinner. We are having cheesy leek, mushroom and butterbean gratin. I hope it will be nice! It's inspired by a recipe someone posted on a thread here once, but I couldn't find it. I added mushrooms, just because.

Last week I had a bag of pickled onion Monster Munch (because the tuck shop had run out of salt and vinegar chipsticks.) They were awful I had memories of how much I used to enjoy them Sad

Salt and vinegar chipsticks are yummy. Tuck shop? Is that at your work? That's so cool.

I can report that the seven-cheese gratin was delicious. Eight cheeses really, including cream cheese.

I meant to say, they had a children's mass this morning and DS1 gave me a wave but DD blanked me Xmas Grin she doesn't do it to be nasty, she's focused- they walk in like a little army!

I can confirm they do have a cheese and chutney toastie and can also confirm it's very nice, I also had a grab bag of squares...and bought 4 mince pies Xmas Grin

It's been raining all day today, not all that cold though. I wish I'd bought a festive latte now so I've just texted the DC's Dad to bring me one....A: He's closer to Costa than me and B: He's a barber and they can't be that busy on a day like this- town is very quiet!

Aw it's good she's so focused - better than those ones who are fidgeting and looking around all the time! Nice that DS1 isn't too cool yet to acknowledge you in public. Though I suppose you're a cool mum so you'll probably get away with it for a while longer Xmas Grin

I'm jealous of the toastie. Not the Squares. Bleurgh. They're on the list with Monster Munch. As are mince pies.

Enjoy your festive latte. I don't drink coffee, but I quite want to try their hot chocolate. I don't think it's feasible for me to get to Costa though and if I send someone for a takeaway all the whipped cream will be melted by the time they get home! Xmas Sad

'Cool' is relative Xmas Grin I let my 15 and 16 yr old nieces be the judges and sometimes I win and sometimes I lose. When I was in DR (before I knew it was pneumonia in case you think I'm even more irresponsible than I already am!) I had my pic taken with my cousin's twin babies who I was meeting for the first time. I sent the pic to my 16yr old niece and her reply was something like "ooo how sweet and what on earth are you wearing?! I hope you didn't go out in them leggings!" Xmas Grin Xmas Grin I might post the pic...I think you'll like the hoodie and it has twin babies!!
