New ninja thread!!

Becca19962014 · 01/10/2018 22:09

The other one expired and it doesn't look like anyone else has created one! So I get another barn and leslie didn't steal my victory like last time!!!

I guess technically, technically MN won the last one. However, this is MY barn.

Rules:

Feed the ninja owl(s) in the rafters, cake only. Especially me. I get hungry and cannot eat anything other than cake and no yukky healthy stuff in cake.

No discussion at all about yukky healthy food.

Um..

Did I mention I like cake???

We talk about anything and everything, except obviously healthy food.

It's not advisable to try and win the thread and mention another is about to expire because some people use it to cheat.....

Long story I don't really want to put on here. Basically it cannot be treated and will just get worse.

Yes, I remember you RealHousewife :) I'm OK ish thanks. My cancer has progressed recently so things aren't brilliant. How are you? Are you on maternity leave at the moment?

Becca I hope someone at your appointment will be able to direct you to more support Flowers

TheRealHousewifeofCheshire · 09/12/2018 23:19

Oh no Leslie. That makes me so sad. I dont know the right thing to say but here to chat whenever if a stranger on the internet can help. I really hope the hospital can help you. I will be thinking of you lots and lots.

Keep strong. You are amazing

NKFell · 10/12/2018 16:02

Hey RealHousewife welcome back! How are you finding 2 DC? Do you think you'll have more?

Oh leslie I could just eat Camembert with crusty bread!

Yes mog like penguin! Except this time with an owl!

Becca19962014 · 10/12/2018 16:47

WhatWouldLeslieKnopeDo · 10/12/2018 18:11

Well that's shit Becca I'm sorry Cake I hope they arrange the tests ASAP.

NK I had some carboncino yesterday (melted on top of roasted squash). It was absolutely delicious!

WhatWouldLeslieKnopeDo · 10/12/2018 18:12

mog I think so, and it lasts quite a while in the fridge anyway. Not that it will last long once you've started it - too tempting!

Hey everyone
NK I was pmsl at going out wearing one boxing glove. It must be great if someone pisses you off to just bop them on the nose with the gloved hand Grin No I've been away from music recently. I think after my cancer and brother dying, it was too much and likely to make me maudlin, but I'm getting back on it.

mog I love to see you wave at me. It makes me smile Smile

Becca I don't know how you cope on a day to day basis with all the shit you have to deal with. You don't deserve it and are doing amazingly Cake

Leslie I hope you are feeling a bit better and enjoyed your sister's visit. Will she be around at Christmas? Thanks

Bingle a gentle hug for you (( )) Thanks

Hello Cheshire Welcome back. I hope all is well with you Thanks

Becca19962014 · 11/12/2018 18:15

Today I've not done well at all, really struggled, but thank you for the thought and cake !! Grin

NKFell · 12/12/2018 14:55

I'll get back to my lab and make a couple for mog and becca Grin

wombat I'll send you a glove Grin I know what you mean, there are some songs I can't listen to because they stir up painful memories but then there are songs that never fail to make me smile.

Oooh leslie thank you for link, I'd never heard of it but it looks delicious. I love squash anyway. I made salmon and leek filo parcels last night with a touch of curry powder on the salmon and veg on the side. The DC seemed to enjoy them, I bloody loved them!

I'm pretty much done for Christmas shopping. I've been hearing how much my friends have spent on their DC this Christmas and it makes me feel guilty, even though I know it's daft! DS1's main present is a new pair of rugby boots- I looked through his browsing history and he's read every review for them, watched every youtube video and has saved pics of them so I'm guessing he likes them!! They were only £40 and my friends think I'm being tight!

Becca19962014 · 12/12/2018 15:33

nk I hate how it's about how much things cost or people assuming others just pick random stuff, I always try and buy things I believe people want (within reason). if you know it'll be wanted/loved then I say get it.

MN does annoy me about things like this so I'm tying to now limit my time here as much as I can. My mh isn't doing well and it's not helping being here (nothing personal) I'll read/eat my cake(!) but not searching or looking at trending anymore I don't think.

I'm the same becca, I always love personal gifts where I know someone has really thought of me iykwim. One of my favourite presents ever was a pair of odd socks- on one a border collie and the other a rottweiler (the dogs I have) and my friend said she saw them and instantly thought of me- I LOVED them! Something like that over a £50 candle any day! If I were to spend a fortune on DS1 it would be for the sake of it, I could have bought him a £150 pair of boots but they're not the ones he's been looking at so he may have even been disappointed.

WhatWouldLeslieKnopeDo · 12/12/2018 19:14

NK he's going to be absolutely thrilled! Xmas Smile it's ridiculous how much people spend. If they have too much they won't really appreciate it anyway. I hate reading about people getting into debt buying Christmas presents. I know they want to make it special and show their children they love them, but it's just so risky! I love filo pastry. Just had some more cheese delivered... three different types of goats cheese! A very kind friend sent me a cheese shop voucher so I could treat myself.

Becca CakeCakeCakeCakeCake

wombat I'm feeling a bit stronger, thank you Xmas Smile yes, my sister will be here for Christmas. What are your Christmas plans? Do you have any favourite Christmas songs? I love Dolly Parton's Christmas album Xmas Smile

TheRealHousewifeofCheshire · 12/12/2018 21:15

Ive spent 28 on my toddler. I wouldnt worry but its a present i hope she will love

I need to buy for my two best friends and every year i struggle. No. Idea.

NKFell · 13/12/2018 00:59

I think he will be too leslie and how sweet that he's been looking at so many pics of them! I actually hate him playing rugby but he loves it and is doing so well but although they don't slam each other they do pull each other down and grab etc. You'll end up reading about me in the news "woman drop tackles 9yr old- she was heard screaming 'DON'T TOUCH MY BOY!' Whilst being dragged into custody". Oh what a lovely gift that is, now cheese is something I would always appreciate. I like goats cheese. When the DC are older I was thinking about getting some goats at the farm that they could look after, maybe make some cheese wishful thinking Xmas Grin

cheshire try and get something that would instantly make you think of them. If they would appreciate that sort of gift that is!

DS1 has the boots, DD has a new schleich horse stall and panda enclosure as the main presents Xmas Grin, DS2 a new big boys bike that was actually my nephew's but I've put new blue wheels on it, and DS3 just has random shite that he'll like- he'd be just as happy with a cardboard box so I'm not spending a lot on him! I've spent about £150 on the four of them in total and I'm 99% sure they won't notice it's not £1000s!

WhatWouldLeslieKnopeDo · 13/12/2018 11:44

Toddlers usually prefer the wrapping anyway RealHousewife Xmas Grin good luck buying for your friends. I hope you find gifts you're happy with. I only buy for my parents, sister and her partner. I am rubbish at buying presents. And I hate the idea of just buying stuff for the sake of it. Waste of money and just a waste of stuff.

NK those sound like fab presents. I can just picture you milking your goats in your dungarees! Xmas Grin

WhatWouldLeslieKnopeDo · 13/12/2018 11:44

Putting out Cake for Becca if you're lurking

TheRealHousewifeofCheshire · 13/12/2018 13:42

I dont buy for many and hate waste too. Only friends I buy for are my two best friends but i havent got a clue. I'd suggest doing a spa day but with us all having little ones and partners who wprk ahifts/away and with living in different locations it wpuld be to hard.

But ive had a rotten year and one of them has been amazing so.it would be nice to sort something nice for her
