One old school friend has just called another old school friend something really nasty, said she’s got teeth like the clown in Stephen kings it
And has she been in an accident

She said what’s happened to you have you been in an accident

When the person said what?
She said he comment about her teeth

I know it’s not my beef but what a nasty thing to say
It got delayed about five hours later the whole post went poof !!

OP posts:
ZanyMobster · 09/09/2018 23:07

I unfollow people regularly, mainly anyone who has very strong political views regardless of the party or shares Britain First posts. I deleted one person as they were extremely racist after Lee Rigby was murdered, what they were saying was vile so I got rid.

dracolovesharry · 09/09/2018 23:07

Yes for posting racist shite.

Once a couple of weeks ago and again today.

Verbena87 · 09/09/2018 23:10

Deleted myself and now don’t have to deal with any of it! Grin

AlpacaPicnic · 09/09/2018 23:13

I delete so many people from FB that I'm practically only following cats now.

Sometimes I wonder if the problem is me. I just don't like most people that much!
I delete racists, Trump fans, sexists, arseholes and people who never ever post unless a celebrity has died.
I unfollow boring people and my ILs

Ohmyinneedofadvice · 09/09/2018 23:22

I delete people that share silly stuff like "if this baby gets 1 million shares the doctor has agreed to give her the life saving operation needed", like any doctor would do this.

I also delete people that share videos of babies or animals being hurt or tortured, they are shared in a "find this person way" but I just can't bare to watch , even the peta ones make me cry and feel sick.

I also block people who have extreme views which they insist on ramming down everyone's throat.

Oh also block the ones who check in at hospitals and put bleak statuses but then don't say why "pm me" etc

So I block quite a few

Notonyournellly · 09/09/2018 23:23

Bloke who turned into a raging coke head and posted pics of himself and his user mates getting wasted. I had enough of seeing their sweaty gurning faces every weekend, so he got zapped. Also a conspiracy theory bloke who I thought was a bit annoying but harmless enough until he started posting horrible anti-Semitic rubbish about a top secret Zionist group controlling the world.

Katedotness1963 · 09/09/2018 23:29

Someone who posted a bunch of racist/anti immigrant crap, and a mutual friend who didn't actually post the same stuff but agreed with the first person on every single one of her posts.

My sil and her two sons for being judgemental on just about everything I posted.

Asmallrole · 09/09/2018 23:38

I had a moan about being unwell/sore throat etc and a 'friend' suggested I try her miracle aloe vera gel (MLM). I commented that yeah, of course I was going to swallow a substance without knowledge of ingredients, production, testing etc.
20 mins later my letterbox rattled and she had posted a sachet through. Deleted.

numptynuts · 10/09/2018 00:04

I've deleted a few flying monkeys.

tigercub50 · 10/09/2018 00:08

“ Springcleaning” every so often. And I know that a few people have unfollowed me ( including DH for a while) because I do tend to share a lot on my timeline.

aurynne · 10/09/2018 00:57

I only follow 2-3 people, I unfollow anyone I add as a friend automatically and only follow them if they post interesting stuff (hence why i only follow 2-3).

I do a "friend" clean-up about once a year and remove anyone whom i have had no contact at all for the past year or so.

I have blocked my DH's ex-wife (she was still as FB friend of my SIL and I did not want to see her face popping up every now and then , and also did not want her to be able to snoop on my life) and a person who was supposed to be a friend and did something nasty to me in real life, so has stopped existing for me anymore either in FB or in the flesh.

That's it, really.

Yambabe · 10/09/2018 00:58

Only one person in nearly 10 years, for being a horrible racist fuckwit.

I have other friends who post some proper drivel but I usually respond by calling them out on it rather than deleting.

This guy though. I'm a fairly liberal live-and-let-live person but he really was a dick.

MrsZB · 10/09/2018 01:55

One of my friends aggressively attacked another friends political views. I deleted and blocked.

I was also friends with someone who’s son bullied my son. I deleted and blocked her too.

Goostacean · 10/09/2018 02:01

Someone I know who is a convicted paedophile, and I recently realised they were active again (thought they had a social media ban, as they’d deactivated their account previously).

I don’t post many pictures of my child, but didn’t want them seeing any at all.

Lofari · 10/09/2018 02:26

Deleted myself yesterday actually.
Sometimes there are too many fuckwits and it's the easier option

TheDowagerCuntess · 10/09/2018 02:58

Yes, I deleted someone who I was at school with, for posting anti-marriage equality views, anti-choice when it comes to abortion, and also anti-choice when it comes to euthanasia views.

She seems to have turned into a right prescriptive God-botherer since leave my school, and we weren't good enough friends for me to continue to read her judgmental shit.

I tend to just hide or unfollow, but made an exception for her.

Upsy1981 · 10/09/2018 19:44

Britain First post = deletion.

QuietNinjaTardis · 10/09/2018 19:47

I deleted someone for posting a picture of an aborted foetus with pro life views on it. She’s lucky I didn’t hunt her down and punch her.

SoyDora · 10/09/2018 19:48

I delete people all the time! Anyone who shares anything from ‘Britain First’. Loads of people got culled around the time of Brexit!

Anasnake · 10/09/2018 19:49

For ending countless posts with 'boom', 'oosh' or 'I'm on fire'.

SoyDora · 10/09/2018 19:49

Oh and MLM bots.

saganorenscarandcoat · 10/09/2018 19:49

I deleted my account as the whole thing did nothing other than annoy the fuck out of me.

CocoRed · 10/09/2018 19:51

More recently for constant political opinions all the time.
Back in the early days of fb i don’t know if anyone remembers but there was a lot more quizzes about the person, sending each other ‘gifts’ etc and my ex was doing these for me and writing on my wall even though I’d not seen him in the years between leaving college and Facebook started- needless to say my fiancé was a bit put out surprised his wife so find with it. Anyway creeped me out so I deleted.
Strangely not thought about him in years and bumped into his brother a hour ago at the shops random this thread has popped up tonight too!

Passmethecrisps · 10/09/2018 19:51

Britain first nonsense
Racism
Sectarian bullshit (cousin posting “away oot way am grampa in the motor hinging oot the Windsor blastin oot the sash”)
Actually most politics I don’t agree with. I know that sounds intolerant but it’s a thing I do to keep up with friends and have a laugh. I don’t see why I would bother giving air time to people whose views I don’t agree with. They generally get snoozed though.

LesLavandes · 10/09/2018 19:59

I recently got deleted by a Facebook friend. I could no longer bear her endless adoration comments about each member if her family. It was endless boasting. I has watched this for years. One day I snapped and posted what I thought... interestingly I was messaged by a couple of her friends agreeing with me.
Part of me feels bad at doing this but the other part couldn't bear to read another word of her oh so perfect family. Life is not perfect!
