Gross things your DC have eaten off the floor?

This morning, I caught DS (7 months) happily shoving a dead moth he'd found under the radiator in his mouth Envy

What's the yuckiest thing your DC has tried (or succeeded) to eat?

My dd told me that when she was younger she ate a half eaten mars bar off the floor.

I once drank vinegar. Thinking it was coke. Well it was in one of those plastic pop bottles.

I caught DD2 putting a dead mouse (left by the cat) in her mouth when she was about 18 months. I got it back sharpish though!

Dry cat food was always a favourite!!

PurpleMac · 03/09/2018 09:28

Came here to say dead moth - also this morning!! Only my DS is nearly 2 so should know better 😂

Mum2OneTeen · 03/09/2018 09:30

Possum poo on the verandah. It was DD's first 'solids' at about 5 months.

LusaCole · 03/09/2018 09:31

Banana skin

Loyaultemelie · 03/09/2018 09:37

Cat food, an ancient bun I'd set aside (boxed up)to give to relatives and they didn't come so it got forgotten

NameChangeAgain712 · 03/09/2018 11:01

Some of these are very gross! Children are yucky.

Kids in the playground - one came in with a huge wadge of bubble gum he'd found on the pavement on the way to school. this got passed round his friends for everyone to have a chew and then was parked under his desk until the next playtime. Very popular boy that lad was that dayGrin

Should have finished my lunch before reading this

FuckMyUterus · 03/09/2018 12:27

I vividly remember eating ants as a 6/7yr old child and my mother being mortified. As I recall, they actually tasted rather nice, kind of salt and vinegar tasting.

NinaMarieP · 03/09/2018 12:37

Raisins from his own poo. More than once. He bowls hysterically when we stop him. (He's just turned 1).

mrsjackrussell · 03/09/2018 12:40

Rabbit poo up the park while we were picnicking

Dragonlight · 03/09/2018 12:40

Out on a walk and child picked up very old, very white dog poo. Straight in the mouth. Makes me want to vomit thinking about it even now.

Mugglemom · 03/09/2018 12:46

My husband's flip-flop.

Jenasaurus · 03/09/2018 12:52

My mum said she would often spot me chewing on a slug in the garden when I was about 2 or 3! She was a devout vegetarian too...:(

Indya · 03/09/2018 12:59

Worm casts and pigeon poo! Yuk

iknowimcoming · 03/09/2018 13:12

Gravel - dd used to stuff it in by the handful if unsupervised in our garden for more than 5 seconds and crunch it up - vom!

Fadingmemory · 03/09/2018 14:09

Not from the floor, but nevertheless ugh! Earth from flowerpots using a spoon from a toy tea set. Waste good out of the kitchen bin.

MaMisled · 03/09/2018 14:17

Pooh.
DDs are very close in age. DD1 was having nappy changed on lounge floor and hard, dry pooh pellets rolled out. DD2, aged 7mths, scooted across to us and popped one in her mouth!

Dizzylin · 03/09/2018 15:17

When my DD(7) was about 5 she told me she'd tasted her poo, aparently she was curious what it tasted like! Gip.

Rebecca36 · 03/09/2018 19:05

I remember when I was a tiny thing eating earth in the garden.

Standbyyourmammaryglands · 03/09/2018 19:17

Pooh she pulled out of her nappy. Grim
