It's just that the first five photos are so normal and then bam!

It's just so much.

All those mirrors Shock. I am picturing the owner dressed like a pearly queen.

MsHomeSlice · 28/08/2018 10:32

oooh lol...

I got to the lacy table clothe and blue plates and thought, well MN are such SNOBS, nothing wrong with that, not everyone's taste, but still...

and THEN! OUufffff!!

that's just the epitome of If less is more, just think how much more MORE could be

wholetthekittlesout · 28/08/2018 10:48

@MsHomeSlice this is why it's so funny!

If every room was like that it would be just be OTT, but what makes it hilarious is that half the house is just so normal...

wowfudge · 28/08/2018 10:57

There's something not right with the listing: the last photo is a floorplan which shows a bathroom to the left which is bigger than the kitchen and breakfast room put together. If you click on the floorplan on the listing, it brings up what looks like the original floorplan from when the house was built and that room is a dining room. Piss poor if the EA can't accurately market their relative's house.

Deathraystare · 28/08/2018 13:09

I wonder how people can keep a straight face when going around these places. I know you should look beyond the er decor and imagine how it would look despite that but blimey!

myusernameisnotmyusername · 28/08/2018 13:23

Oh my god my eyes hurt now!

wholetthekittlesout · 28/08/2018 13:32

A lot of it looks like a cost a fortune too.

I definitely couldn't keep a straight face if I were viewing or the EA showing round - would be worse if the vendor was showing you round though!

What a bacchanalian feast of opulence and sheer decadence!

BeauDeau · 28/08/2018 14:08

😳
Wowzers 😲

MiddlingMum · 28/08/2018 14:10

Imagine having to dust it all. No thanks.

CassandraCross · 28/08/2018 18:02

I showed my husband this but without the warningGrin. I knew exactly when he hit page 6, a strange wtf noise emanated and his face was a picture!

Congratulations, OP, I think you win the prize for the most breath taking Rightmove find.

StealthPolarBear · 28/08/2018 18:07

The dead animal was the first thing I saw on photo six two. Do you think they were in a hurry before the photographee came
What do we do with the dead wolf?
Oh just shove a cushion over it no one will notice...there

KateMcD451 · 28/08/2018 18:12

Is the owner Marie Antoinette? Grin

sue51 · 28/08/2018 18:14

What are those things hanging off the chandeliers, pom poms, tassels?

EffYouSeeKaye · 28/08/2018 18:20

I miscounted and thought the willow pattern dining room room was the main event. Never been so wrong!

I actually startled at the next picture.

wholetthekittlesout · 28/08/2018 18:22

@CassandraCross A prize? For me? You shouldn't have Grin

OP posts:
Ta1kinpeace · 28/08/2018 18:23

Thank you OP
You have cheered me up no end

Occamsrazorblade · 28/08/2018 18:32

I hear “JOY to the World!!!” In my head when I look at the bedroom pic!

MrsTommyBanks · 28/08/2018 18:36

Thank you. I actually lol and so needed a laugh.

OutPinked · 28/08/2018 19:36

So confused by the need for a hat stand in the bathroom.

CassandraCross · 28/08/2018 19:39

Definitely wholetthekittlesout, just deciding what would be an appropriate prize for this gem of a findGrin.

KateGrey · 28/08/2018 19:44

There are no words!

PickAChew · 28/08/2018 19:56

Would be a lovely family house with all the dusty, flammable shite removed. And the big bathroom restored to the dining room it probably once was. And some jiggery pokery done with that and the tiny kitchen and breakfast room to create a decent cooking and eating space.
