Holiday weight gain

Ugh.. just got back from a week away and as expected have put on weight.

I'm just a bit shocked at how bloody much! Looks like nearly half a stone! Shock

I probably should weigh myself in the morning to get a truer pucture, but fuck me...!

Anyone else put on so much in a week??

For me it's been too much wine and crisps. I did go for a couple if runs, but it's never enough if you're eating crap.

Oh and too much bread.. loads more than I ever eat at home.

Back on the healthy stuff for me!

Great holiday though Grin

I'm sure it's mostly water weight as a PP said, Auntie.

I think I eat too late at night too ( had dinner at 9 last night) and so it is all still sitting in my stomach in the morning Confused

If you were low carbing before you went on holiday, then you massively increase your carbs when you're away, it will be the re-fill of your glycogen stores that accounts for most of the weight gain!

Lots of water, and up your exercise, and it should go reasonably quickly.

I put a stone on yes a stone !

I had a good low carb day yesterday and have run yesterday and today, already I’m weighing in 4lb lighter than Sunday morning!

Just tucking into a chicken and cheese omelette before heading to ikea for the day (oh dear)

I always lose weight on holiday. I am a terrible snacker at work and just stuff my gob all day but on holiday I eat much less as I am out and about. I need to go on more holidays I think!

CakeNinja · 13/08/2018 16:31

I’m home. Wish me luck for the weigh in...

DavetheCat2001 · 13/08/2018 16:52

Good luck cake

Remember the damage is temporary and fixable!

I've been hitting the cheese hard today!

I think it's the stress of the school holidays!

5lbs in 2 weeks. Could have been worse!
Have been to the gym this morning. It was so painful Grin

Actually, some of it has vanished spontaneously. I don't think it was water weight. But it was rapidly eliminated - I get very bunged up when visiting PILs, and that all resolved once back home.

I still have 4lbs to shift, but that shouldn't take too long.

I've developed a hideous cold so can't exercise (feeling really poorly and it is turning into bronchitis!) and all I want to eat is crap. I tried to make a healthy dinner the other day and burnt it twice. So had to give up and eat frozen pizza.

I still haven't weighed myself. I know it is going to be bad. Wahhhhh
