Blush

Yes I am that thick. There's another one Blush and he's old and doesn't play keyboards.

Is she Blush, do you get to have fab conversations with him? One of the things I love about my DH is when we go out for meals and end up discussing entropy or he explains maths stuff to me, he is a biochemist though and never finished his PhD but I still love him Grin.

Doctor and the Medics?
Doctor Hook?

soaccidentprone · 12/02/2013 21:37

hello, Gia Grin

freddiemisagreatshag · 12/02/2013 21:39

From now on Gia I'm going to just call him Mr Milinovich is that ok with you?

OP posts:
seeker · 12/02/2013 21:39

He's also got a son called Moki. But I think it might be a step, which means he's American, so slightly excusable.

His wife is funny on twitter.

TomArchersSausage · 12/02/2013 21:42

Colonel Sanders?

ProfessorMavisGrind · 12/02/2013 21:42

that's the article I thought of...thought it was ages ago. Yes, having , in a small way, been the receiving end of this myself hello- XH-- that article resonated with me.

Still. Now I have a self appointed Professorship 'til all ok..

GiaGia · 12/02/2013 21:45

waves Brian's wife here. @DawnTigga told me about this thread on Twitter.

Yes, Professor is his actual title (see this for more info on the title: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Professor#The_United_Kingdom.2C_Ireland_and_other_English_speaking_countries ). He was promoted to Prof in 2008. Before then, on tv, he was known as Dr. Brian Cox because, as SusieSusieSheep said, it shows tv viewers that you're an expert in the field (unlike Gillian McKeith who bought her "title" from a diploma mill).

Other things: he is a professor of particle physics at Manchester, not astro physics. He played keyboards in D:Ream, he wasn't the singer. He didn't get rich from D:Ream at all. In fact, the last royalty cheque I remember him getting was several years ago for about £4.

For the record, I call him Doctor Cox cos it sounds pervy. ;)

That awkward moment when you're talking about Professor Brian Cox and his wife walks into the room.

ProfessorMavisGrind · 12/02/2013 21:48

I really can't fucking spell.

MrsRajeshKoothrappali · 12/02/2013 21:49

I had no idea there was another one.

Am not embarrassed by that though.

All of my knowledge comes from Mumsnet so unless someone starts a thread about something I am unaware of it's occurance.

ProfessorMavisGrind · 12/02/2013 21:50

Suzieismyname · 12/02/2013 21:51

well there was a mildly funny bit on one of those Stargazing' programmes last month when Dara O'Briain made a BIG point of saying Professor Brian Cox, Dr/Prof Somebody I Can't remember, Dr Brian May AND - pause- Phil Jupitus...

TomArchersSausage · 12/02/2013 21:52

Blimey Charlie rl has hadron collided with mnShock

freddiemisagreatshag · 12/02/2013 21:52

From now on, every time they say "PROFESSOR Brian Cox" I shall think in my head "No, he's not he's MR GIA"

This is just too funny.

What a fantastic world we live in nowadays when someone can start a convo about someone else and within no time a Twitter shout out has their wife signed up and posting in reply.

Gotta love the www.

CharlieMouseWillDoIt · 12/02/2013 21:57

Love this thread! Might just have to put a request in for it to be moved to Classics...
