Morning,

Topical post today! Me, trying to understand if anyone actually knows 'how' to drive in snow.

Why has the predicted snow caused driving chaos? Is it because we don't know how to drive in it?

Have tried to start a twitter hashtag on it (oooo look at me, all social networking...though probably on my own!)

It's at #cannotdriveinsnow if you are interested!

I've been a bit rubbish this week (so much work on!) but have written a post about a new phrase we got today

yummymummyreally · 08/02/2012 07:52

star anise. I haven't found a good way of doing that yet. So I turned off the 'automatically update me' thing and I look at posts that appear in this thread, or that I have Facebook liked, or that come through on my twitter stream as I follow them. That way I haven't got an email box filling up. ( though I still need to turn off the emial update thing on twitter as I do still get those unnecessarily, as I have always seen them before the email box updates!)

Liking all the blogs. I tend to look most on wednesdays!

I've blogged today on being nominated for a Liebster Award - it really meant so much, I'm very happy. Spread the virtual love!

SweetestThing · 08/02/2012 12:50

Blogged today on the good and bad things that have happened this week

Wouldn't mind a very unmumsnetty hug, if anyone is brave enough to risk it!

Flubba · 08/02/2012 13:27

Some fantastic blogs here - really I should get on and do some filing [yawn emoticon]. Here's my latest offering Easy bread rolls recipe - perfect for a cold winter's day like today.

staranise · 08/02/2012 14:21

Best of luck for Friday SweetestThing - what a worrying time for you - I think (()) are defintiely allowed in the circumstances.

Thanks Yummymummy, taht's very helpful - I'm finding it difficult to keep on top of the email/twitter/FB/blog constant streaming!

And best of luck with your exams louhutt!

Here's today's post - it's about the journey and not the destination or, riding the trains with DC3:

On Nature vs Nurture

I read a very interesting blog about this, and it touched on the question that if it were possible to discover whether people become gay or are born that way, would we then look for a cure? And if we did find a cure, would we use it to prevent our children being gay?

Very thought provoking and I must admit that it was only once I started writing that I fully formed my opinion.

MmeLindor. · 09/02/2012 07:22

Thanks to those who are intending to (or have already) written a post about Aillidh. If anyone would like to join in with the blog hop, please do. You don't need to "know" Aillidh or her family, just help raise awareness.

If you don't want to do that, would you consider doing a short post linking to one of the blogs or to the FB page. We really need more people to share this.

When's the last time you met a real character? Someone who left a lasting impression?

It's great when it happens - and if often does when you least expect it.......!
