Some of you may already have caught wind of our Mumsnet Bloggers Network but we want you ALL to know about it - because we're on the hunt. We want to find new voices, encourage loads of Mumsnetters to start blogging and provide a network for those that already do.

Whether you're a seasoned writer or a plucky newbie, we're here to help you blog better and share in any revenue you generate through our network.

And you're here to tell us what you think! We'd love to get your thoughts, quibbles and suggestions for the network, and answer any burning questions (as best we can). But if you just want to get straight on with joining, do jump on to the registration form.

Tee
if your husband and family are comfortable with that, then it is fine. Mine isn't so I keep our real names off the blog.

Daphne is recognisable, I guess.

Funnily enough, a colleague's girlfriend recently commented on liking to read blogs from the area, and I told her I blog. When I showed her my blog, she recognised it as one she had read, but she had not known it was mine.

purplepidjin · 28/06/2011 10:24

My mate's baby is on mine, as well as all over facebook, because she suggested i use him to model some bandana bibs.

He just looks like a chubby gorgeous 8week old, though. I really don't think anyone's going to go up to him in the pub in 18 years and say "Hey, weren't you that kid on the MimaPants website?"

Purple - I just browsed your blog and enjoyed your post about your working day and wheelchair users. I'd follow you on that angle much more than on craft as you are giving a voice to something that people don't know about/understand.

Thanks for the link. I like your blog!

MmeLindor. · 28/06/2011 10:30

I agree, Purple.

There are a lot of craft/mummybloggers out there. Having something slightly unusual to talk about will raise more interest.

whatsthecatch · 28/06/2011 10:35

LOVE LOVE LOVE yours too Mme Lindor. Have followed yours since December when you mentioned it on here somewhere. Its perfect for relaxing when you a few minutes spare.

butterflyexperience · 28/06/2011 10:40

I'm another anon blogger, for the same reasons as MLindor gives.

purplepidjin · 28/06/2011 11:48

Thanks, whatsthe. With that, I think I'll mix up the serious Care stuff with the crafty stuff. I do a fair bit of crochet for www.lisasstars.org.uk (I've reached 500 likers on facebook, so for every order in the next week or two, I'll send them a tiny teddy, for example) so perhaps I'll add that kind of thing in.

Did you spot the one about the MN blankets? Watch this space for us auctioning the latest one off for www.winstonswish.org.uk/ - people have been so generous I ended up with an entire blanketful of squares left over! There's a couple of meet ups this week about the blankets, so i think that'll be my next one

Thank you for your thoughts...

My real name is on my blog because i too use it for work - to promote my work. It's still in it's infancy and i'm not sure yet how much of myself i will reveal....

EdnaTheInebriate · 28/06/2011 12:40

...and until i do that i suppose it's not that exciting as an MN blog...

Tee2072 · 28/06/2011 13:00

I wouldn't call my blog exciting, Edna. More the mad rantings of a mentally and physically ill older mum from The States who lives in Belfast. Grin

purplepidjin · 28/06/2011 13:05

I'm intrigued, Edna. PM me a link? If you don;t mind...

EdnaTheInebriate · 28/06/2011 14:02

Have done purple Smile

purplepidjin · 28/06/2011 14:18

Wow.

EdnaTheInebriate · 28/06/2011 14:29

Blush - thank you. And for your advice too .... i have been considering an online shop. This is why i love MN - it's full of folk who know how to do these things* Grin

....*whatever 'these things' might be.

Tee2072 · 28/06/2011 14:39

OK now I want to see!!! {nosy}

purplepidjin · 28/06/2011 14:45

www.folksy.com/

Do it. Now. And remember me when you open at the Tate.

DuelingFanjo · 28/06/2011 16:33

sorry if this has already been asked but will the blogs be linked to mumsnet usernames?

PerAr6ua · 28/06/2011 17:05

I asked DF. And was ignored. Which doesn't bode well for any blogging plans I might have...

BerylOfLaughs · 28/06/2011 17:20

Why does mumsnet want the rights in perpetuity to my work to do with as they wish?
Bugger that for a game of soldiers. My blog, my work, my rights.

FlamingoBingo · 28/06/2011 18:08

Not for the blog, I thought, but for posts on mumsnet itself, Beryl.

@MumsnetHQ - I can't register. It just keeps saying I need to 'do the following' still to register, and then it asks me to set up a new MN account...which I can't do, of course, as my email address is already set to me! Help!

ElinorMumsnetBloggers · 28/06/2011 18:10

Too right, BerylOfLaughs. That's what we think too. Our bloggers retain full rights to their work. Did you read something that mislead you? I'd love to clarify any confusion on this, because it's a critical point of the network.

Yikes! Sorry you're having probs, and thanks for alerting us. I'll chat to the folks that perform the tech magic, and we'll get back to you when we've figured this out.

FlamingoBingo · 28/06/2011 18:22

Thank you

@DuelingFanjo

sorry if this has already been asked but will the blogs be linked to mumsnet usernames?

It's a good question, so thanks for raising it. We won't be displaying that info on the network - although it's up to you whether you want to include it in your blog. But your secrets are always safe with us. Wink

DuelingFanjo · 28/06/2011 19:46

I would like to do this but my existing blog has lots of stuff in it about my infertility and ivf including feelings I had about other people in my life so it probably wouldn't be fair on them.

I was thinking about starting a new blog now that I have a baby but wonder if that might just be boring. If I start one now and make a few posts will I fit the criteria for this?
