Time for a new specialism, methinks!

Do you right for the carry on films at all Spiro Grin

TheSmallPrint · 23/02/2011 16:41

write Blush

DumSpiroSpero · 23/02/2011 16:42

I clearly missed my vocation by a couple of decades!

I don't know where I get it from tbh, my mum is quite prudish. When I was little I used to have to explain the Benny Hill show to her!

OP posts:
PassTheTwiglets · 23/02/2011 17:20

I didn't get it either, Small

I adore John Standring too - I didn't find him that thudworthy at the end but he was just so sweeeeeeeet. He'd do anything for her and that was a very attractive quality. That pub/landrover scene made me very sad for him too, Spiro. Poor lad. He gets the girl in the audiobooks, if that counts :)

SupermassiveLBD · 23/02/2011 17:24

So which was your favourite bit in Sparkhouse then, ladies? I am really looking forward to episode three.

I got your joke of course, Spiro.

PhoenixRisingFromTheAshes · 23/02/2011 17:24

I didn't get it either, clearly much too innocent for some of this company....

Twigs - audiobooks? what do you mean?

PhoenixRisingFromTheAshes · 23/02/2011 17:26

I find some of the bits of Sparkhouse too painful to watch very often. I don't want to mention my favourite bits yet if Massive is still watching it.

SupermassiveLBD · 23/02/2011 17:43

Okay, I will wait till tomorrow for your thoughts, Phoenix.

Then I suppose it'll be Mr Porter up next.

DumSpiroSpero · 23/02/2011 17:46

Massive... Grin

OP posts:
PassTheTwiglets · 23/02/2011 17:52

All caught up now. I see we had a drive-by mocking... Hmm

Phoenix (I think it was you but it was 4 pages ago now!) thank you for linking to the Strike Back site and also thanks to whoever linked to the Ultimate Force playbacks. I will look at both of those later. Does anyhbody know off-hand which UF episode RA was in? I'm sure as hell not going to watch them for any other reason. And did I imagine that his episodes were on whatever the ITV version of iPlayer is called?

Re. audiobooks - Phoenix, Massive asked if RA ever got the girl other than in N&S. My reply was that the hero usually gets the girl in the Heyer audiobooks. Obviously that's not actually RA's character, just someone using his voice :)

Then I suppose it'll be Mr Porter up next.

Oh, how I wish I had that delectable pleasure yet to come... you have to love the Porter.

DumSpiroSpero · 23/02/2011 17:53

I think you've probably got my favourite scenes all coming up tonight, Massive, so will keep my thoughts to myself for tonight as well.

When are you off to Disneyland, Twigs?

OP posts:
DumSpiroSpero · 23/02/2011 17:55

Ultimate Force Series 2, episodes 2-6, Twigs.

The last one is not good - let's just say his other characters are pretty fortunate in comparison.

OP posts:
SupermassiveLBD · 23/02/2011 18:02

Those ladies lamenting the fact that they have already seen such and such. You can always watch them again, you know. You see bits you missed the first time round.

I shall be nobly subjecting myself to another round of RH before too long. Can't do without my Gizzy fix.

PhoenixRisingFromTheAshes · 23/02/2011 18:04

I may have to give in and order RH Series 1 - seeing as it has been well over a year and still no repeat (actually it may have been repeated on BBC HD, but I don't get that anyway).

SupermassiveLBD · 23/02/2011 18:12

You must, Phoenix, he is absolutely gorgeous all through, even though he is pretty bad a lot of the time. But you just think, I don't care, as long as I can watch him stride about and shout and smoulder.

PassTheTwiglets · 23/02/2011 18:30

Ultimate Force Series 2, episodes 2-6, Twigs.

Great, thanks for that, Spiro.

We go to Disney on Monday morning. All MissTwiglets knows is that she has a surprise birthday tea party, with some special guests (ie. the characters, who are going to present her birthday cake to her), somewhere that isn't where we live - she thinks it's in the little village next to our town :o

Now that we've finished Spooks we are a bit stumped for what to watch next (my Downton Abbey versus his Sopranos) but I've persuaded him to d/l Spooks 9 for us so we will rewatch that. My arguement is that now we know the character backgrounds it will be worth watching (we knew nothing about the characters before as S9 was our first). Not sure about the validity of that argument but he is up for it, bless him :)

TheSmallPrint · 23/02/2011 18:31

Envy at Twigs

PassTheTwiglets · 23/02/2011 18:32

Who's dc has a birthday whilst we are away? Was it the youngest Smallboy on 2nd March? In case I forget to say, in the rush of last minute packing, I hope s/he has a fantastic birthday, whoever it is!

When is our next Academny birthday (for those willing to divulge such intel). Any birthdays soon?

PassTheTwiglets · 23/02/2011 18:32

whose, argh Blush

TheSmallPrint · 23/02/2011 18:38

Oldest Small boy is soon but not quite as soon as that.

My birthday is aaaaggggggggeeeeeeessssssss away.

PassTheTwiglets · 23/02/2011 18:41

Someone was on 2nd March, I think...?

TheSmallPrint · 23/02/2011 18:52

Was it you?Grin

PassTheTwiglets · 23/02/2011 19:27

LOL, Small! The way my addled brain is at the moment, I wouldn't be at all surprised if I forgot my own birthday!

SupermassiveLBD · 23/02/2011 21:05

Another addled brain here. What is a birthday?

Anyway I thought I'd better put up some Sparkhouse illustrations Before , and After -just for fun, mainly, but you never know, there may be somebody out there who is still wondering what we're talking about.

TheSmallPrint · 23/02/2011 21:09

Quiet in here tonight, I guess you're all busy watching UF/ RH/ SB! There is absolutely nothing worth watching on my tv tonight -pah!
