I heard the scream, the thud was probably the collective thud of this whole thread thudding in unison at the shock!!Grin

He's still tweeting from beyond the grave Confused

Fettle · 08/11/2010 22:16

What was the significance of the well-read book? Wasn't it quite an intellectual book worthy of this thread?!

MrsLucasNorth · 08/11/2010 22:17

Thanks Theresa.

Am shell-shocked, which is daft considering it was a foregone conclusion and I'd even thought of the 'over the top' possibility after seeing the preview last week.

Wonder what RA thinks of his departure? The character element of it was interesting, but the final denoument was a bit of a let down imho.

MrsLucasNorth · 08/11/2010 22:18

It was William Blake - the big tattoo on his chest is a WB illustration.

Fettle · 08/11/2010 22:19

Article in that bible of truth the Daily Mail, he said even he didn't know how it ended! Wondered if he meant that he didn't know if he'd jumped or run awayConfused.

Either way they all looked really sad at the end and he aint' coming back to the Grid!!Grin

''but the final denoument was a bit of a let down imho.''
They should have asked us to write it for them

Bodenbabe · 08/11/2010 22:20

Mrs LN, what are we going to doooooooooooo?!?!?!

Fettle · 08/11/2010 22:21

Can you imagine that Thereas?! He'd have had all sorts of deranged women offering to save his soul!!Grin

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 08/11/2010 22:21

The book was William Blake's poems. Obviously his only literary interest, as he had no other books, but had Blake's Ancient of Days tattooed on his chest.

MrsLucasNorth · 08/11/2010 22:23

I don't think they'd be able to find a kitchen table big enough Wink

Looking on the brightside, Dh has lots of busy evenings this week and I have the entire first series of Strike Back on Dvd.

I may soon be back as Mrs John Porter Grin

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 08/11/2010 22:23

Oops. Bit slow there, but I did add pictures.

Bodenbabe · 08/11/2010 22:24

Re. Flowers' last link, is it just me or does anyone else thinks the tattoo on his arm looks like he was a Blue Peter fan?

Theresaholeinyourmind · 08/11/2010 22:24

I did send him a tweet suggesting he booked an alien abduction. I bet no one was looking upwards at the time so who knows?

40deniertights · 08/11/2010 22:25

Mrs LN, you don't need an absent dh for strike back - it is excellent male viewing and you can pretend to be doing him a favour.
On twitter "Lucas" is talking teasingly about fire escapes.

Fettle · 08/11/2010 22:25

Pictures good Flowers!!Grin But why Blake? Why all the tattoos for that matter - I don't think they explored them enough? When is the MA in tattoo-logy going to be ready for students?!Grin

I'm going to order strike back now!Grin And may as well get north and south - do you think they'll be on buy one get one free offer at the momentHmm

MrsLucasNorth · 08/11/2010 22:25

Flowers - if you're doing a chest shot at least make it a good view!

Theresaholeinyourmind · 08/11/2010 22:27

That's just his cover, 40DT. It was the spaceship. Scotty beamed him up

Fettle · 08/11/2010 22:27

ooh help = we're on most active!!Grin

OP posts:
ASmallBunchofFlowers · 08/11/2010 22:32

Sorry, MrsLN, that was the best view I could find. And at this solemn time I'm surprised you used one with a flippant comment attached. Poor old Lucas.

We've been on Most Active before, but I didn't point it out as that would just mean we would spend longer there. I'm not sure I welcome the notoriety.

penona · 08/11/2010 22:34

Thanks for finally telling me where the tattoo on his chest is from. I love Blake and also have a book of his poetry (see, we were made for each other) - with that on the cover!!! I always thought it looked familiar. Now I know why!

MrsLucasNorth · 08/11/2010 22:36

Flowers - there's a similar one with the tagline "I watch Spooks for the plot" Grin

I may have listen to Clarissa again before bed. I know he's really bad but....yum!

Theresaholeinyourmind · 08/11/2010 22:38

Well that was some consolation, ''he'' just answered my tweet
First time I've been goosed by a ghost..
