I also do (I think) many, many things that I’m sure majority of posters would be disgusted by. I do laundry constantly AND use the tumble dryer Nothing is worn twice. I drive my - nearly new - car even short distances. It’s a hybrid, though so maybe redeemable? No shoes in the house, I hoover and mop every day.

I am also a massive advocate for divorcing shitty men and say it in every other thread!

Oh yes 🙌 mine is hybrid! And we are a no shoes house too! I also have a tumble dryer that I use as needed.

Honestly people on here are a different breed who are terrified of upf and financially struggle on a 100k salary.

Yes…I know it’s area dependent but we earn approx 140k as a household and feel very very comfortable.

I think you're feeling way more on the edge than you are. Loads of Mners live in new builds, and regularly proclaim their advantages, wamrth, and energy-efficiency.

My question is -- at what point does a new build become an old build? Is a house built in the nineties a new build?

Not to to boast but I too buy kitchen rolls and I answer the door to random strangers without shaking and crying behind the sofa.
