Do you own a house and how much is the mortgage.

MintDog · 29/10/2025 22:10

Do you feel rich? Only ask as we bring in about that amount and don't feel wealthy in the slightest. Still wearing old clothes, we don't eat out. Just spend a lot on home renovations.

Whatwouldnanado · 29/10/2025 22:12

If a Jaffa cake was ruled to be a cake due to the softness of the sponge, would you agree the cheapo versions with much harder sponge are therefore clearly a biscuit and thus should be taxed accordingly?

Do you own a house and how much is the mortgage.

Yes own the house (well we have a mortgage with 25 years left!) our mortgage is £2,433 a month. We overpay so while we are on these inflated salaries (my husband is also lucky to be a high earner) we are overpaying the mortgage

Fishplates · 29/10/2025 22:27

please describe the lifestyle you manage to afford for your children.

our household joint income is also high - but I can’t help feel that we can’t afford the kind of lifestyle we’d imagined. Although we started working for this kind of income 10 years ago, thinking our future children could enjoy a certain type of lifestyle from it.

OnTheBoardwalk · 29/10/2025 22:28

Do you both have a long commute in? Do you have to pay for wrap round child care before and after school or are the boarded?

AncientWreck · 29/10/2025 22:29

Are you concerned about the influence of post-modernist thinking in academia and subsequently employment spaces since the 1990s, with regard to the cultural context and social positioning of women in western workplaces?

In fact, would you agree that para-post-modernist ideology has been used as a form of oppression to disadvantage women and that by posting on Mumsnet in this fashion you are a product of this neo-stochastic world?

Also, plain or salt & vinegar?
