@ZsaZsaTheCat I’m not saying she’ll have the final decision. I’m just interested to hear her opinion.

Why would you trust such an important decision with someone you have no knowledge of their qualifications 😱

You do realise we're all grown ups here don't you.?

So we are all aware this is an anonymous forum and we don't actually know for sure who we're talking to.
Which means we all know any insight we think we've gleaned should be double checked against a verifiable source before trusting it with anything significant.

That doesn't mean it isn't worth the conversation to discover questions worth asking or ideas you otherwise wouldn't have had.

Not all adults are ‘ grown up’ clearly. You are naive to think that some people wouldn’t make decisions based on Mumsnet advice.

Depends what's at stake though doesn't it.

I've bought board games based on Mumsnet advice.
But if you choose your birth plan based on one person's say so, more fool you.

This.

Maybe there are some people who would act on this advice. I’m not of them. Don’t worry.

@ZsaZsaTheCat you should look at the birth place study, 2012.

Years of research tells us that home birth is just as safe if not safer than an obstetric unit for low risk women and babies.

This MW isn't saying home birth is recommended for everyone.

Thank god we all have a choice of place of birth.
