I think I realised in my early 30's I was attracted to someone when I was around 15/16 but no-one since then. My family don't know

I think I might be "in this area" (sorry don't know how else to put it ).

I haven't had sex for 10 years , dont miss it , rarely, rarely masturbate, always had a very low / non existent sex drive.

Have you all ways felt this way ?

When we're you able to give it a name?

I would like a companion but the though of sex makes me recoil. Are you similar?

I've shied away from OLD for this reason , have you ever thought of looking for a companion ?

Felt this way all my adult life Only been able to give it a name in the last few years Yes sometimes I would like a companion but just don't want sex

I have often considered that I may be asexual or similar but possibly as a result of an experience.

I see relationships as having a physical component and an emotional one. And for me that friendship/ companionship of a relationship is something I would miss more if I hadn't had a relationship.

When you say you asexual do you mean you just aren't interested in the physical side, or you not interested in engaging in a emotional relationship either?

Do you have autistic traits which may explain your disinterest in sensory touch? I know autism is different for everyone but wonder if it might be a factor?

I would suggest that perhaps «trying sex» is a bit different to trying vegetables or trying something else you would offer to a child !
Sex is a whole process, with a beginning, a middle and an end,
Sometimes if you know, then you know.
It’s not for someone else to judge or argue.
