How often did you use?

Ohyesiam · 15/11/2019 21:35

It was £70 a gram when I used to use it, how much were you paying?

ChaiTeaChai · 15/11/2019 21:36

How often did you use?

Every day if I could get my hands on it. Morning and evening, less so during the day. But sometimes all day.

£80 a gram, less if I bought more. I was friends with and dating drug dealers on and off so sometimes I'd pay very little and sometimes nothing.

I meant to put your questions in bold. Sorry.

Did you give any thought to how and by whom it was brought into the country, or feel any guilt about funding cartels?

screamer1 · 15/11/2019 21:42

What are the reasons you became addicted do you think? As in many people use but don't get addicted. Can you trace your addiction back to a root cause?

TwatCat · 15/11/2019 21:43

I've no question to ask OP, but I just wanted to say a huge well done on no longer being an addict. ThanksThanksThanks

Not once did this cross my mind.

I really liked it. Looking back, I was in a bad place. I liked being that girl, which soon faded. I'm not sure what the trigger point was.

I've never taken recreational drugs

What does it feel like to take cocaine?

woogal · 15/11/2019 21:52

Did you start taking with friends/partner? Did they stop before you did?

baffledbeyondbelief · 15/11/2019 21:55

Did you realise you were an addict at the time or did you think you had your habit under control?

What's the worse thing you said/did to get hold of the drug?

(Well done for stopping Thanks)

Mrsbclinton · 15/11/2019 21:55

Did you use other drugs eg hash and work your way up to cocaine?
What age were you when you first started using drugs?
How did you fund your habit?

ChaiTeaChai · 15/11/2019 21:56

What does it feel like to take cocaine?

For me, I would feel very awake and 'alive'. It was very hard to sit still and I'd need to be doing something. It's so hard to explain, just a general feeling of euphoria but without the other unpleasant side effects that come with many other drugs. Sometimes when I had done a lot, I'd feel invincible and try and cause myself pain because I would panic that I felt so numb.

I started with friends and then I had two boyfriends that used. I stopped before they did, they all still use but not as heavily.

I take coke a couple of times a year socially and it always strikes me how strong the urge for 'more' is when a line wears off after an hour or so. Very addictive drug. X

*Did you realise you were an addict at the time or did you think you had your habit under control?

Towards the end I knew, but for a while I didn't even think about whether I was an addict or not. I didn't care about stopping or even think about stopping until towards the end of the addiction. It was so normalised within my circle that it didn't even seem wrong.

I would flirt with dealers (they're called shotters around where I'm from) knowing there's a high chance they'd give me drugs. Nothing more than that. I had a friend that would frequently sleep with one particular drug dealer when we were out of money so that we could get it for free. I would lie to my parents about why I needed money, but I'd spend it on drugs.

Thank you.

I started smoking weed at 14 or 15 and swore I would never do anything else. The next drug I tried was MDMA, just before I turned 17. I first tried cocaine at 17 too.

I had a lot of savings and my grandmother sent me a monthly allowance, as well as my dad. I walked dogs on and off for extra money sometimes, but a lot of the time it was free or very discounted. My two friends and I would share with each other as well.

The urge is insane. There's been times where I'd been taking it alone in my bedroom and then crying when I had ran out because the urge was so strong. I commend you for having the self control to only do it a couple of times a year!

❤️❤️❤️ I can see how it happens to people xxx

Mrsbclinton · 15/11/2019 22:13

Thanks for answering.

Do you think there was anything in you life that influenced your drug use?

Could you give any advice to parents of teens on how to veer them away from drugs or do you think it depends on the individual.

NotOnMyWatchSunshine · 15/11/2019 22:16

No questions, but wanted to say well done for stopping. "Well done" isn't really strong enough for what I mean, but I hope you're very proud of yourself, you should be. Awful, life ruining drug.
