Just that really! Not in senior management.

OP posts:
Jazzhan · 31/12/2018 12:22

DavidBowie - what's with the insidiously sly dig couched as concern?

Jazzhan · 31/12/2018 12:23

This isn't I work for the DWP, I'm here to help. The title is AMA.

Jazzhan · 31/12/2018 12:24

And yes, I'm in a very bad place, thanks to UC and the sheep who are willing to endorse it.

Jazzhan · 31/12/2018 12:27

One way to get rid of UC would be if everyone refused to work for them. But people are inherently selfish.

Incidentally, the question that some pearl clutcher got deleted on me is one the OP didn't see, but did answer. Not knowing that I had asked the question.

Jazzhan · 31/12/2018 12:30

If you have these questions, why not just go into your local jobcentre and ask them. They're apparently very helpful. Hmm

Jazzhan · 31/12/2018 12:37

And since this thread is no longer an AMA but a pick on Jazzhan, why don't you just inform the DWP of changes and trust that UC will get it right?
Why are you so afraid of it? Because maybe you know that you're going to lose a lot of money which will inevitably drive you into debt.
So don't beg for a way to play the system. Pick on me because I'm in the stupid system and am asking valid questions, and maybe you won't find out how to play it. And then act as if you're all concerned for the op (PMSL).

Ye're all only concerned for yourselves.

thebaronetofcockburn · 31/12/2018 12:38

Well, contrary to what has been posted here, it's true! If you have reached pension age and are part of a couple where your partner is under pension age and you claim Pension Credit as a couple (usually because your younger partner or spouse is your carer): guess what! Yes, you guessed right! You will be getting fucking UC! Your partner has to be available for work.

Being a pensioner no longer makes you exempt from UC.

UC

Jazzhan · 31/12/2018 12:38

I can answer all the collective answers quite simply.

You will lose a lot of money and won't even break even. So get a credit card now or you're fucked.

Jazzhan · 31/12/2018 12:42

I predict that in 8-12 months, when credit has run out and people are up to their eyeballs in debt and rent arrears, there is going to be a national outcry like no other as people will either find themselves homeless or end up killing themselves. 1000s of people.
THEN you might understand why I'm asking these questions now.

thebaronetofcockburn · 31/12/2018 12:45

They won't care, Jazz. The Tories have done a marvellous job of convincing the populace that any poverty is the result of personal and moral failing, so any misery resulting is deserved for being a 'skiver' 'malingerer' or because of 'not prioritising'.

'To recommend thrift to the poor is both grotesque and insulting. It is like advising a man who is starving to eat less.' -Oscar Wilde

Jazzhan · 31/12/2018 12:49

Incidentally I saw an ad on TV yesterday for a payday loan company (can't remember the name).
The APR was not 23%. Not 60%. It was 1000%
These vultures don't care that they're never going to get the full amount back. Make 4 or 5 payments and they've already gotten the principal and a sizeable amount of interest back.
Why are they operating? Because of UC. They know how desperate people are.

70sbaubles · 31/12/2018 12:50

But thats fair enough if youre in a couple where someone younger can work. Dont see the problem.
Your partner has to be available for work
Not if the person is disabled and youre their official carer.
Jazz whilever you behave in such a vile way you will never improve your situation. You are not helping yourself. And someome else referenced the gun.

Jazzhan · 31/12/2018 12:52

thebaronetofcockburn The reality is that this rollout is going to have repercussions down the line and will hit a lot of people drastically very soon and all at the same time. People are very capable of organising themselves. When the chips are down, if your very life is at stake, you're going to revolt.

70sbaubles · 31/12/2018 12:52

Theyve always had loans like that though they are bastards praying on the vulnerable

Kikipost · 31/12/2018 12:52

Jazz you sound utterly unhinged

Jazzhan · 31/12/2018 12:53

How am I behaving in a vile way?

Jazzhan · 31/12/2018 12:55

Well Kiki, I am on antidepressants, so perhaps I am as you say 'unhinged'. I thought that reference to people suffering from mental health issues was not now tolerated, but it appears it is.

Jazzhan · 31/12/2018 12:57

Kiki - are you on UC?

bifflediffle · 31/12/2018 12:57

Payday loans pre date Uc.

Jazzhan · 31/12/2018 12:58

Not at 1000%

70sbaubles · 31/12/2018 12:58

Your hatred of oeople in a better situation spits out of your post.
You hate the op for working there.
You hate others for asking questions.
You are making out the world is against you including everyone on here.
Nobody is against you but you are rude

70sbaubles · 31/12/2018 13:00

So are half the country.

bifflediffle · 31/12/2018 13:00

Yes they did.

70sbaubles · 31/12/2018 13:00

You need to lose your victim mentality. Or things will never change.

Jazzhan · 31/12/2018 13:01

I don't hate. I just know that I could not in good conscience work in a role related to the roll out of UC.
Nobody really is asking questions, apart from a few trying to get out of being put on UC, then playing the innocent and being appalled by my questions.
I'm not making anything out.
