Just that really! Not in senior management.

You can get a g p referral for gym sessions and the fee was half and it was like your own personal trainer advisor. Exercise is great in keeping your mental health and self esteem in check. On a different section, my niece was reported by someone to the j c that she was working and living with someone when she shouldn't ( both lies by someone anonymous) it was later found out that a school pupil at school that had bullied her at school had spotted her out with her ex partner and next day reported her to the j c she was working in an job advisor. My niece found out because the women bragged about what she had done and her friend who work with her reported her and she's been suspended my niece has still been investigated. I think also that people should deal with everything with respect I think that can be lacking on both sides

PotteryLady What I want to know is will they pay the full amount next month because it looks like I haven't been paid? I only get £100 but entitled to £580 but it gets reduced. Will they pay £580 which would be better for me.

Yes that's right unless there are any other deductions to be taken from it. It looks like you'll be better off overall!

thebaronetofcockburn · 30/12/2018 11:49

There are free online versions of Office. My kids downloaded them to use on their laptops for school.

TheStarOnTheChristmasTree · 30/12/2018 11:51

Some people are better off on UC and others worse off. I know 3 people who have moved over to UC early because of this. I'll be worse off on UC so I'll be staying on tax credits for as long as possible.

BlueEyedBengal · 30/12/2018 11:51

They sometimes forget that we are humans and I would like advisors m p's and councillors to as training live a week in the shoes of. Someone in these situations then say it's easy on benifits. I by the way do nothing t claim benefits, I just see the struggle and the delay in payments as if people are expecting to live on fresh air alone while they wait.

PotteryLady · 30/12/2018 12:00

Thank you ChristmasTree

Tippexy · 30/12/2018 12:11

@Jazzhan Yes, the free software allows you to save and export your documents in Word format. You really don’t need to be paying the monthly Office subscription. If you phone Sky they are also very good and lowering contract amounts if you explain you’re in some financial difficulty right now. It’s just a simple phone call. The gym are probably less likely to change your contract amount but at least it will end soon!

Tippexy · 30/12/2018 12:12

Good at, not good and.

Clueing4looks · 30/12/2018 12:20

I’m due to be moved to UC (moving house so change in circumstances)

I have an outstanding budgeting loan I’m paying off - what happens to the payments for that? Will it be deducted from UC payments or do I have to make a different arrangement?

CatToddlerUprising · 30/12/2018 12:50

Clueing4looks- it would continue to come out of your UC payments

Onetraumaatatimeplease · 30/12/2018 13:08

How accurate are the entitled to and turn 2 us calculators? I have used both, and they both say I'm entitled to around 260£ per month. I applied, I get 30£ a month. I have been to see the benefits advisor, but she is adamant it's right and they refuse to recalculate unless my circumstances change. Oh and they haven't paid that for 3 months, don't know why, they haven't bothered to tell me. Also saw the cab who said my award was wrong.

CatToddlerUprising · 30/12/2018 13:25

Onetraumaatatimeplease- have you seen your statement with the breakdown of each element and any deductions? This is the payment amounts for each element- data.parliament.uk/DepositedPapers/Files/DEP2018-0759/UC_monthly_rates_v3.0.pdf

CatToddlerUprising · 30/12/2018 13:25

It’s hard to see without knowing all your claim details, i’m sorry!

Kikipost · 30/12/2018 13:36

@CatToddlerUprising

If you have a moment, could you please look at my post asking if I’m being over paid?

letmyselfgo · 30/12/2018 13:38

If you have more than 1 child on dla and the award for one changes or stops is that a change of circumstances or would ctc continue as still have children on dla ?

Onetraumaatatimeplease · 30/12/2018 13:47

Just had a quick look at your link. I will have a good read later (at work at the mo). Should have mentioned I'm not on uc yet (will be in March as my eldest leaves college). The figures I quoted were for housing benefit. I work 24 hrs a week at min wage, get tx/ctc. And the high rate of pip for my daughter (mobility and care). Rent is 600£ per month 3 bed house. 3 kids.
My question is, does 30£ a month look right for housing benefit in these circumstances. Obviously I prefer the entitled to websites calculation Grinbut if the council are right then I won't push it. (This is the same council that said I wasn't entitled to council tax relief because my eldest was 18. Then when she was 19 and I applied again they had to back date it.
Phew that was long. TIA

CatToddlerUprising · 30/12/2018 13:48

Kikipost- I would set some money aside if you can. I don’t work with CTC or TC but it’s my understanding they base it on earnings in the previous tax year. So come March/April when they work out your entitlement for tax year 19-20 they will look at your earnings etc for this tax year.

thebaronetofcockburn · 30/12/2018 13:54

Is it true that pensioners who are married to or have a younger partner (below pension age) will be moved from Pension Credit onto UC? That's fucking shocking.

Personally, I think UC is awful.

CatToddlerUprising · 30/12/2018 14:21

thebaronetofcockburn- they would still be able to claim pension credit.

backaftera2yearbreak · 30/12/2018 14:31

I’m a welfare rights advisor in an advice service but work mostly with cancer patients. I help out in the other advice service sometimes. A number of staff from the local job centre are clients due to the stress caused by higher management in the job centre. I assist them to get long term sickness and disability benefits. It’s a disgrace. Your teams can’t look after vulnerable people if your managers cannot look after you!

Moominfan · 30/12/2018 14:34

Cattoddler think op isn't coming back, can't say I blame them. Would you please mind looking at my question?

70sbaubles · 30/12/2018 14:39

Yeah i think Jazz has messed it up for people needing advice, I hope she feels it was worth other people losing out. Not a nice trait.

CatToddlerUprising · 30/12/2018 14:59

backaftera2yearbreak- I suppose the same could be said about NHS staff, teachers and emergency response staff. (I’m not in senior management!) I think it depends on the area- yes there should be a standard of how staff are treated but with anywhere- schools, retail etc- it doesn’t always happen. I am fortunate that the Jobcentre I work in is incredibly supportive of all staff

CatToddlerUprising · 30/12/2018 15:00

Just to add- I’ve worked in one of the public services I’ve mentioned and I’ve found where I am now to be far more supportice

CatToddlerUprising · 30/12/2018 15:01

Moominfan- of course! I am going out in a minute but will come back later
