OP isn't it such a dose looking for the drive off.. we used to have to find it then contact the police and let them do it... we used get a fair few or they'd come in and say I've filled my car but have no money can I come back... it was unreal.. I saw things on that forecourt that I'll never see again it was mental...

I think the worst part is when you've had a drive off and it's somebody who has been in the shop and when you look back at cctv you realise it was you who served them 🙈 now I make a point of automatically asking every single customer if they have fuel

But yeah, the forecourt can be wild, people get real road rage out there!

When I do something o can get quite passionate about it (ino that’s quite sad when talking about Petrol stations)

Not at all sad. Passion is what keeps us all young! Thanks

It happens a lot. What we do is log it down on our till as a "No means to pay" then we take all your details, car details etc then we get you to sign a form to say that you will come back within the next 24 hours to pay

What if you’re on the way going somewhere like on holiday and can’t come back for a week? What happens then?

If you let us know you are going away then we will make a note of it and keep it on our system. We take all your contact details so if you haven't come back we would get in touch with you, after that we'd treat it as a drive off and head office would deal with it. I'm assuming they send letters out asking for payment or get in touch with the police.
