I’ve been 6ft tall since I was about 15, anyone have anything to ask? Smile

Do you wear heels?

Moltenpink · 14/07/2018 20:29

No heels, no. I have quite a broad curvy frame, so I would just wobble around on them! Weather is fine thanks ;)

Why wouldn't she wear heels?

Do you have Dutch or Scandinavian relatives?

No question just an excited wave, I'm a little over 6ft myself.

I’m tall and I don’t wear heels (or only low heels) because I find it awkward enough already without adding extra height.

Do you look for partners who are the same height/taller, or does it not bother you if your OH is much shorter?

Where do you shop op?

I'm 6ft too. New look and next are my usual places

My husband is 6ft2. I do tend to prefer taller men, but I’ve had shorter boyfriends and it never bothered me. Wouldn’t kiss them standing up though, it felt wrong!

6ft isn’t really that tall..
Not being rude, just it’s not especially tall
I’m 5’10 and don’t feel particularly tall
I also don’t tend to wear heels very often - can’t walk in them properly!

I shop at Dorothy P tall online mostly. Topshop tall sometimes, but the designs can be a bit odd. Tall ranges are great though because I can get a size 10 or 12, in normal ranges I get a 14 for the extra length.

Fellow 6 footers, do you have big feet too? Finding size 42 shoes is the hardest.

I'm 5ft10, that can be tricky also (and a bit wobbly on heels).

I'm 5'2 and i have sometimes wondered if it must be confidence boosting to be similar in height to men.

I find it easier to get shoes now as an adult than when I was at secondary school twenty years ago.
Eights/nines depending on the make! Wink

"Gabor" shoes have sizes 42 and above.

Me too! (I have small feet though -6- which is one less thing to worry about). Topshop for jeans. Trouser choice is a lot more limited though (also dresses that cover your bum).

I'm only 5'9" with size 7.5 feet but where I'm from in rural oz has a lot of tall women, one of my sisters' friends was 6"2 and I know more than a few over 6". My great aunts, born 1920 and 1921 were both over 6'. It seems much more unusual here in the UK. One question I have to ask is, do you/did you always go for men taller than you? My first Aussie bf was 6'7" and DH is 6'4"....

@Flicketyflack I totally agree, school was a nightmare and I lived in men’s jeans and trainers. Long lengths and big shoes just weren’t a thing, and the internet wasn't invented for online shopping!
