I realise I'm starting this thread quite late at night so I'll try to answer as much as I can tonight and then during nap times and other times I can snatch tomorrow onwards- apologies in advance for pauses with my answers xxx

I think I'm right in saying it's not compulsory but recommended and some clinics offer a free session as part of the treatment price.

Without going into detail about my session, counselling gives you a chance to talk to someone to explore your decision to do this, any areas/ issues you worry about and how you may feel/ cope with anything post baby.

Hope that helps. If you do want to know more info there is a superb thread over on donor conception page. I joined it the summer before I started and read the all the threads( one has been going for ages and there are at least a dozen threads linked one after another. It's great for reading people's journeys, seeing what's happened, asking questions, finding out about stuff and most importantly getting support ) x
