Dad is an internationally famous musician. AMA (apart from who he is)

Did you or any siblings go into showbiz?

Did you see much of him growing up?

Is he with your mum?

Ooh is it Mick Jagger? how does he feel about you describing him as an aging musician?

Who is the most famous person you've met because of your dad and who the jiggerty feck is he?

No non of us are in showbiz.

We moved from LA to the English countryside when i was 8, mum guessd the marriage wouldn’t last but they didn’t actually divorce until i was well into my teens. Not long after moving to UK he stopped being the Dad i had known and was physically and emotionally more distant.

Roger Moore when he was 007 was my best celeb meet when i was a kid.

Were you aware growing up that your family were different to your schoolfriends' families?

Did your dad partake in wild behaviour in his heyday and were you ever exposed to the any of it e.g. sex, drugs, throwing tv's out of bedroom windows?

What instrument does your dad play, and do you play it too?

Do you like his music?

In LA no, i went to a private school where most of the kids’ parents were famous themselves or powerful behind the scenes Hollywood peeps.

At school in UK i schooled with more normal people but i rarely saw Dad then so it wasn’t a big deal.

It wasn’t until i was an adult and married DH that i actually realised how odd parts of my childhood were.

does he live in the home for aging musicians somewhere west of London?

The craziest thing i remember Dad doing was he would wake us up in the night and drag us downstairs to meet whoever he had brought home - other rockstars, actors, sports people. In US in particular famous people seem to gravitate towards each other.

I don’t recall any drug taking but i now know it went on.

He lives everywhere - Switzerland, LA, London, NYC. I don’t know where his official home is right now.

As a child music lessons were forced upon me, so i play the piano and guitar. My singing voice is terrible, or so Dad tells me

have you ever met Marlon Richards?

He had a far more screwed up childhood than i did. My mum was amazing. I think that my childhood was pretty normal in comparison.

Do you think that life made him happy?

If it didn’t i would not know. I know him as a happy, charismatic man. But i only seem him when he is at his best i guess.

How often do you see him now?

His music was overplayed in our house growing up. Now i don’t actually put it on myself to listen to but sometimes it comes on the radio and it does sometimes make me smile. I guess i would say i neither like or dislike it, it was Dad’s job. I appreciate he is talented but i obviously didn’t inherit his talent.

My Ex is a former Stuntman ( retired) and he really really misses the time he spent working at the top of his career is your dad the same or does he now enjoy having a more relaxed life?
Also my DD never told people at school ( normal state school) what her dad did for a living as they used to give her endless grief half saying she was a lier etc etc and the others wanting to be a friend so they could meet her dad.
