What is your honest opinion on British people of Irish extraction? I grew up in a very close Irish community, 2nd and 3rd generation (ie parents and grandparents born in Ireland but my age group born in England), we were expected to be loyal to Ireland in things like the football etc., went 'home' in the summer, went to Irish clubs and did Irish dancing... Do you consider us to be Irish or English? I think a lot of my generation have a bit of an identity crisis going on to be honest! Always feel a bit of a fraud when I go to Ireland and very much a tourist these days but at the same time don't feel English either cos my parents aren't and it was drummed into us that Ireland was superior!
