I've found (most of) these threads really interesting to see a different perspective. Does anyone want to ask me anything?

I'm 44 & I have, sort of experimentally, been thinking, "This is my very last chance to try for a baby", to see if I get any feelings of regret or urgency. But nope. None whatsoever. Grin

Re why childfree by choice women would be on MN, think about it. Think how many threads are nothing to do with being a parent. I'm mainly on FWR, running & plastic-free threads.

@BasicUsername I'm child free by choice too!!

I'm here because of Sara and her Penis Beaker! MN not just about Mums you know! There is another world and other topics of interest out there other than changing nappies and who can pick the most "out there" name for offspring
😝

I wonder why people who are childless by choice / don’t work in a child orientated setting are on here too. Not in a bad way , I think the different perspectives are refreshing just makes me wonder what brings people here Smile

I'm also child free by choice. I came on here following a Google search about some sandals, of all things, and then got a bit hooked on AIBU. There's also support forums for people with chronic illness.

I've never wanted children and am not particularly keen on any under about 12/13 years old. I've no nieces or nephews yet.

If you're wondering who to leave your estate too... I'm open to inheriting a house or ten Grin

It might surprise/confuse a lot of users that not everyone is a mum but I lurked for ages because I liked reading the posts, funny ones, touching ones, helpful one etc. I joined because I had a questionable wanted to join the conversations and now I'm pregnant MN was the first place I turned

Also I don't see how not having kids is selfish, surely it's far more selfish to have them on a whim, to hold onto a partner, to have someone to look after you when old etc.

It was hearing about the feminism that brought me here originally.
