Tory leadership candidates Liz Truss and Rishi Sunak have been urged to act after only 11 women activists from Afghanistan settle in the UK since Taliban takeover. With Mumsnet users greatly concerned by the plight of Afghan women and girls now living under Taliban with their basic rights and freedoms rolled back and at high risk of violence, on the 17th August Mumsnet founder and CEO Justine Roberts joined MPs, activists and female Afghan leaders called for the overhaul of a system that gives vulnerable women and girls in Afghanistan no way to seek asylum in Britain.
