I’m reluctant to TTC this month. We are only on cycle 2 but after the events of this week I don’t feel like I can

I find the wait for a positive OPK as stressful as the TWW 🙈 I've only been testing for the past 2 cycles and its been day 14 both times.

Must be so tough 🙁 does she know you’re trying? If it’s out of the blue then I can see why you might want to skip a month to give your sister some space, but otherwise hopefully if you wait til you’re 8-12 weeks to tell her then it puts a few months between this and that.

Me! Currently CD21 and no positive ovulation test. No real sign of EWCM either so not expecting anything to happen any time soon.

Definitely find it much harder than the TTW- don’t know how long I’ll be having to wait, dtd every other day regardless of the Lh tests as don’t want to miss anything so get a bit stressed about that, and get so annoyed that my body can’t do this really simple thing called ovulate!!!

@HelloDarknessmyoldfrenemy glad it's not just me! You're right, it's because you don't know how long you'll be waiting it's so frustrating. I'm hoping it'll be before the end of the week but who knows

It's good you got to keep the money for the private SA. It's not worth it honestly, I think we had to wait a few months to have ours done. Bit daft that the wait for that tends to be so long when it's one of the simplest fertility tests to perform. I actually ended up paying something like £280 for a private gynaecologist earlier in the year as I started to become really upset about how my period symptoms were also really bad (as well as the TTC stuff getting me down) and I didn't really need to as nothing much came of it but honestly I think I needed to just be seen and feel like something was happening as I was really struggling at that time. As time has gone on I weirdly feel less out of control, like I still feel down and frustrated but I have come to terms with the fact that there is only so much I can do in this process and if it's not happening then it's nothing I've done/haven't done. It doesn't help that I'm going to be 35 next year as we all know that's when fertility starts to decline more rapidly but again it's not like I can do anything about that. We're pretty much at the one year mark now, so it's normal to feel quite flat about that.

Hope it happens for you soon! I feel I waste so many ovulation tests. Pee on it just to go, “Oh, so very faint again then.” I started testing for Lh on CD10 and all 11 tests so far have looked exactly the same. So frustrating!

I got mine from Amazon, but I think any will do as long as they show the temp to two points!
It doesn't actually tell you when to BD as by the time you see the temp rise ovulation has already happened, but I'm hoping it'll give me reassurance that I am actually ovulating and help me track which CD it usually happens for me.
I was supposed to start on CD1 but I'm on CD3 now and haven't done it yet 🙈

@HelloDarknessmyoldfrenemy another day, another negative opk here haha. This is my first cycle TTC for baby 2. Took 22 months to conceive DS so you'd have thought I'd be used to the waiting but apparently not.

Today is CD1 of the 9th postpartum cycle. After giving birth, my cycle usually lasts for 26-28 days. I get my peak on CD14/15 so I don’t have to wait that long to get my 9th 2WW. New cycle, new hope!😄

Im on CD7 so its probably too late, will get on next month if this cycle isnt successful. How are you getting on?

Hello! Joining the 2WW whilst symptom spotting! First month ttc all year after 2MC last year. It was relaxing not having the tww all year but I want a third child and can’t shake the feeling, so here we are!

i swore I wouldn’t symptom spot, but i am! I’m CD 19.

7dpo and shockingly my test is completely negative. Not sure I’ve ever seen anyone get a 7 day positive 🤔 eight days seems to happen quite a lot though.

which test are you using?I promised myself I would wait until period due, but I was lying to myself!

Just the cheap Premom ones, I got the big box of combined strips so I have loads which is why I don’t mind using them early.

I’m only 6dpo and already getting the overwhelming urge to test which is ridiculous 😅 with my daughter I think I tested positive at 9dpo and I definitely had a tugging sensation the day before so I felt tentatively hopeful it was implantation. With my ectopic I didn’t test positive until about 12dpo but apparently that’s common as the HCG doesn’t rise in a ‘normal’ way. I’m aiming to hold out until Tuesday to test which will be 9dpo but may cave before! I am not that hopeful though given I think I ovulated on the side with no tube… let’s see. Wishing everyone lots of positive distractions in the coming days!

I’m on my 3rd day of spotting / light bleeding mostly only when wiping. But this is the first sign of anything 7 weeks after MMC in July. I don’t think I can call it AF yet but if it doesn’t turn into full flow by tomorrow I think I may have to assume it’s just a very light unusual period, and use the timing for the purpose of starting ovulation tests again.

Nothing yesterday here either, haven’t yet tested today. Wow, 22 months is a long time! Did you have any tests done? That must have been so stressful. I’ve been trying for 9, nearly 10 months now. And that feels like a millennia.

I’ve also never seen a positive 7dpo test. Lots of babies haven’t been implanted at that point! Most common days for implantation are 8-10. Hope you get a positive test in a few days time 🤞 the waiting is so hard!

You would assume some would implant at 6 days though which makes a faint line on seven days possible. Surprised I’ve never seen it is all.

last time I had a solid line at 8dpo which is why I tested just in case, though I have zero symptoms and expected it to be negative.

TTC baby #2! September will be first cycle - our little one has just turned 16 months. Waiting on CD1 (hopefully tomorrow or Monday)! Would love to do a Christmas announcement (trying not to get ahead of myself 😂)

Wow, a solid line at 8dpo is super early! Can see why you tested now! Guess that at least makes the TWW shorter for you. The earliest I’ve ever tested positive is 10dpo. Even so I often test on 9dpo just in hope 😂 wish I could be one of those people who can wait until they miss a period. Even though knowing early makes no difference to the outcome, I can’t help myself!

CD23 today and the Lh tests have darkened! Premom says it has risen to 0.66 so something might be happening. But I often have rises like this and then no ovulation so not getting excited until I get a positive reading.
