If you're keen to get back to nature and love the idea of a wholesome family glamping holiday but don't want to battle with tent poles or sacrifice flushing loos and comfy mattresses, a Feather Down Farm escape could be just what you're looking for.

And right now you can nab a sizeable saving thanks to discounts on last-minute stays on UK farm stays. If you're able to book and travel within the next few weeks you can save £75 on 4-night breaks and £55 on 3-night getaways when you enter the code TGTM2023 at check out. Discounts apply to bookings in sites in popular UK holiday spots that Mumsnetters love, including Wales, Norfolk, Devon and Cornwall.

The tent is stunning, very quaint and idyllic, the fine details are lovely. We loved it and did think it was worth every penny.

Each lodge or 'canvas hideaway' sleeps up to five adults and one child under 12 in three bedrooms (featuring a double bed, a cupboard bed and bunk beds), all with premium mattresses. Beyond the bedrooms, you'll find a kitchen with running water, a wood stove, a private (flushing!) toilet, a BBQ, a picnic table and deckchairs. Depending on the farm, you can enjoy farm tours and animal feeding, outdoor play areas, wild swimming, pizza ovens, campfire areas, homemade food bundles, and honesty shops for essential supplies.

What Mumsnet users say

"We did it years ago near Cheddar Gorge in Somerset. It was nice - very nice bathroom facilities where we were and lovely that the tents were nicely spread out. And where we were there were animals and chickens where the kids could go and collect eggs" - Sharkyfan

"We did this in Devon. It was lovely. Would highly recommend. It was the height of summer" - MajesticWhine

"The accommodation was lovely and the beds very comfortable" - 5foot5

"Our son loved looking after his chickens, sleeping in the cupboard and hunting for firewood and the other tents were close enough for him to run off and make friends while we kept him in sight" - droogie
