Great news! Well done FPFW!

scepticalwoman · 18/10/2018 22:35

Well done to all concerned.
Hopefully there are some more 'corrections' and settlements in the pipeline - especially on a day when finally the Guardian and BBC have been shamed into admitting that women do have legitimate concerns.

TallulahWaitingInTheRain · 18/10/2018 22:36

That is really good news and a blinding letter too

OvaHere · 18/10/2018 22:37

Excellent news!

NoSquirrels · 18/10/2018 22:41

Wow - great stuff.

Angryresister · 18/10/2018 22:46

Fantastic news. It seems to be a pretty good week so far...not that most of the coverage from certain parts of the media isn't balanced but at least it's being covered.

SPOFS · 18/10/2018 22:46

Excellent! Apparently it was an article written by Owl ( of Fox and Owl). Interestingly, they write for the Guardian too...

KatVonGulag · 18/10/2018 22:48

Silly old owl. Not so very wise eh?

Halfeatentoast · 18/10/2018 22:49

Excellent!

AspieAndProud · 18/10/2018 22:51

Maybe The Guardian got wind of this and that’s why they’ve allowed some GC this week...

Voice0fReason · 18/10/2018 22:59

Outstanding work.
Stupid Owl.

Waterparc · 18/10/2018 23:02

Ah, of course!

“Maybe The Guardian got wind of this and that’s why they’ve allowed some GC this week...”

stealthsquirrelnutkin · 18/10/2018 23:02

I hope this is the first of many legal challenges. The coverage might become less biased once a few papers have been forced to pay up for publishing defamatory lies.

MrGHardy · 18/10/2018 23:03

Oh please do Dr. ...head next. The stuff he has said, must be a million times worse than a newspaper.

BesmirchingMotherhood · 18/10/2018 23:06

Excellent news!

LangCleg · 18/10/2018 23:08

About time too. The Independent should have just apologised when the MOD confirmed FPFW estimates.

Fuck you, Owl, by the way.

Well done FPFW! Glad you won - as you should have done, because your stats were accurate, as the MoJ subsequently confirmed.

anotherGCacademic · 18/10/2018 23:14

Yay!!!!

TheClitterati · 18/10/2018 23:18

This week just gets better and better.

Well done FPFW - awesome women.

LizzieSiddal · 18/10/2018 23:19

That’s Owl and Little OJ, peeved in one day. Bet they’re both fuming😂

miri1985 · 18/10/2018 23:23

The whole article is still up with a small paragraph at the end explaining why the whole article is rubbish but anyone who doesn't read to the end wouldn't find that out. Am I wrong in thinking the disclaimer should be at the top?

LangCleg · 18/10/2018 23:27

MOJ above, sorry!

NotTerfNorCis · 18/10/2018 23:30

I see Joss Prior has produced a video trying to 'debunk' FPFW's work. It's quite dull and repetitive, but the main point seems to be that trans people are mainly in prison for 'poverty-related petty crimes'. If they're committing crime at the same rate as other men as suggested by the Swedish survey, it's not the same kind of crime. This seems to be a lot of evidence-free wishful thinking on JP's part.

AngryAttackKittens · 18/10/2018 23:30

Next up The Guardian?
