Just seen a trailer for a new TV adaptation of the brilliant Margaret Atwood novel. Stars Elizabeth Moss and Alexis Bledel amongst others and looks pretty good. It's due to be streamed on a US service called Hulu in a few weeks but can't find any info on whether it'll be available in UK e.g. on Netflix. I'd love to watch this as recently re-read the book. Anyone know anymore about the TV series or any ideas on how to find it?

No help on where to find it but that sounds amazing! I can't wait to see that

Hiya! Hopefully someone will come along with news of where to find it. If we find it, will start a discussion thread. Can you tell how excited/desperate for this I am?!

Fav book of all time. Would love to see this, your link though doesn't work

TheDrsDocMartens · 17/04/2017 10:12

It's my favourite book too. Hope they do a good job of it.

OddBoots · 17/04/2017 10:15

Did I hear right the MA has a cameo in it? It certainly sounds like she was heavily involved in it so I have high hopes for it being going.

GavelRavel · 17/04/2017 10:17

Comes out on April 26th apparently. Cant wait

SaskiaRembrandtWasFramed · 17/04/2017 10:44

I hope it's better than the film adaptation, that was absolutely awful.

GavelRavel · 17/04/2017 10:47

There doesn't seem to be any official way of watching it outside the us or Canada though which is odd given how popular its going to be. Surely someone will pick it up for European distribution? Obviously Hulu want it kept restricted to them for a massive spike in Hulu membership but given you can only officially watch Hulu in the US is the rest of the world meant to just scout around for it online ot watch Hulu with a VPN which they presumably don't wish to encourage?

GavelRavel · 17/04/2017 10:48

Trailers look quite good, they've updated it with modern references etc apparently.

Error404usernamenotfound · 17/04/2017 10:51

I'm going on the assumption that a UK channel/Netflix will pick it up soon. They'd better do anyway - that book rocked my sheltered little adolescent world Shock

"It certainly sounds like she was heavily involved in it so I have high hopes for it being going."

I'm pretty sure she was, she's been posting about it on Facebook for months.

JustDanceAddict · 17/04/2017 21:02

Loved the book so hoping we can get it here.

TheSecondOfHerName · 17/04/2017 21:03

Marking place as I liked the book

QueenieGoldstein · 17/04/2017 21:04

I really hope it becomes available over here. It maybe the launch Hulu needs in the European market.

StarlingMurderation · 26/04/2017 14:34

Just watched the first episode of this - really chilling.

MaxwellAndPeterson · 26/04/2017 19:25

Hulu did a TV series adaptation of 11.22.63 (a Stephen King novel) last year, which was originally only shown in the US/Canada, but it eventually made its way into UK Sky. I think on Fox channel. Hopefully this adaptation will too.

Creatureofthenight · 26/04/2017 19:27

I think it will be available first on Amazon Prime. Which I don't have Sad

R00tat00tt00t · 26/04/2017 21:37

Where are you StarlingMurderation? Are you in the US?

Where did you watch it Gavel?

GavelRavel · 26/04/2017 23:10

I'm.too paranoid about the Eyes now to tell you!

If there's enough people.watching it from US pace perhaps we should edit the thread to say that so we can discuss without spoiling it for people outside of US pace

MoonriseKingdom · 27/04/2017 00:02

Have just watched the first 3 episodes (don't ask me how, courtesy of my DH - oh the irony). I admit I haven't read the book but this is gripping so far. Great acting, visually stunning but very upsetting.
