Fortune Tellers / Clairvoyants - What are your experiences

Elf1981 · 11/02/2005 16:20

Afternoon,

Just curious about this subject. I went to see a clairvoyant about two years ago and had a really good reading. Most of what she said was spot on. My mum went to see a fortune teller about five years ago and had a disastrous reading, where most things predicted to come true in a year were bad, but luckily didn?t happen.

Just wondered if anybody had any really good / bad readings that came true, whether anything spooky happened, or if you?d go again.

Looking forward to reading the postings!

Elf xxxx

Yes!

I had a Tarot card reading done a few years ago.
The tarot reader read that my real dad left me and my mum when I was young and that I would meet a new partner very soon. 2 days later I met my x who I was with for 2 years!

The spooky part was that he had a card which had a man on it holding a sword which had seaweed wrapped around it. The reader said he was very drawn to it but he could'nt figure it out. He asked if it meant anything to me which it did'nt.
I did'nt like that bit! I had the recording on a tape.

I don't know if I would have the guts to do it again now!

The one I saw told me:
I was one of three daughters and I was the middle child (true).
That I was a quiet child who didn't play out lots and mostly read and entertained myself (sad but true)
That I was planning my wedding (true, but I'd taken off my engagement ring before the reading!)
That I shouldn't worry about my mum, and she kept rubbing her head when saying this, she told me my mum would be fine. (Few weeks later mum got her results from a CAT scan and was okay).
She described my granddad (who had passed away) in perfect detail, even to the fact that he brought flowers every Friday for my gran, and that he always had cake on a Saturday. She told me he said he understood why I didn't go see him in the hopsital (only grandchild who didn't) and that he was 'whole again'. (My granddad had cancer and had part of his throat removed).

There were eight of us who saw her, and everybody walked out crying!

I saw a physchic in sedona, I gave him NOTHING about me b4 card reading, he said;

I was a leader (I was manager of a team at work)
was planning new business/venture/project(just left said job !!)
he said I was to get ready my portfolio (JUST put together portfolio for new business!!)
I would be very influenced by metal and wood(I was just given V important furniture design job b4 leaving for this trip & it was totally related to were I was in that part of the world)
card with pregnant female showed up several times , he said this didnt neccessariyl mean I wold be BUT we were going to TTC just after the trip !! & I was pg just a few weeks after.
I have it all on tape an listen to it every now and again.

Was discussing this & clairvoyance with a friend recently and our thoughts are that rather than them being able to forsee future self or passed over relatives , that they use a some from of telepathy or mind reading. and that in itself is quite an interesting technique.

I had an interesting reading, using ribbons.

The reader said I was going to Paris for a holiday - we had already had our holiday and had no intention of going away again. But she was adamant, she said she could see the Eiffel Tower.
She went on to predict that I would conceive whilst on the holiday (on the pill at the time with no intention of trying for a baby) and that she could see that it was raining at the time.

She was nearly right ? It was Blackpool for a weekend and DS2 was indeed conceived there. The sun was actually shining at the time ? but the deed was done (cough) in the shower .

I had a reading a few years ago - first thing she said to me was that my grandmother wanted to give me a bunch of red and gold freesias - I'd been to Asda that morning and bought myself....a bunch of red and gold freesias! Was also told:
2 people in work were making things difficult for me (true)
I wouldn't lose my job but should leave as things wouldn't change ( I took voluntary redundancy when the branch closed but was offered a job in another branch)
I had a daughter (I do!)
I'd recently come out of an unhappy relationship ( I'd left my husband a few months previously)
I would meet someone within 2 years - he would be "the one", there would be an offer of marriage if I wanted it and I would be very happy (all true - strangely enough, I came away with an impression of this man - although I don't remember her saying anything - of being a professorial type. DH is a professor!)
My life would "start" at 35 - this is the age I met dh
A blond or grey haired woman would ask me on holiday towards the end of the year - my mum (grey-haired) asked my and dd to go away with her and my dad in October of that year
A man called would go through a hard time (possibly the dh of a friend) but I shouldn't get involved. My best friend and her dh (named ) started having problems and she ended up in hospital on anti-depressants

All very spooky!

Elf, I had a Tarot Card reading years ago. I was told what my husband would look like - this came true! - and that I would have two children "both natural childbirths, no problems!" I didn't realise how much I'd believed this... so the first emergency C-section came as a huge shock!!! And the two subsequent planned sections mean I've totally bypassed the natural childbirth route... And yes, I am a lucky mum of three! All in all, think I've been put off for life!!
Hope you have better luck

I went for a reading and the medium handed me the cards and said "I have no doubt you are just as able to use these as I am!"
She told me that I would conceive soon (despite the fact DH and I were having real problems TTC, and had in fact been told we wouldn't without help.) and we did .

I went to a fortune teller when I was 17 just out of curiosity. She told me...

I'd have 2 children a girl and a boy ( I have 2 girls)
I'd be in an accident in a blue Car (Was in a car with FIL, which was blue and he had a minor bump with the car in front)
I'd have connections with London and Tokyo(FIL lives in London and worked out in Hong Kong for 6 months, right side of the world IMO)

That was what I remember that has made any sense over the years. Not sure if I'd be brave enough to go to another one now though.

The clairvoyant I went to see is based in Nottingham. When she came, she gave a little speech about how she'd done shows on Living TV and stuff... not sure if I believed her about that, but she was pretty spooky.

Once got stopped by a gypsy in the middle of town - one of those who ask people for some extortionate amount of money to tell their fortunes. Anyway - she stopped me, was adamant that she didn't want any money but wanted to warn me that she knew that I was supposed to be going on a trip and whatever I do, I was not to get in the white car.

I was due to go away to a conference, being picked up by a colleague in her company car - white. Something happened and I dropped out of the conference - she crashed the car!!. Luckily she escaped with a few cuts and bruises, but the passenger side was completely demolished...scary stuff!!

always been intrigued, but having been brought up a JW, have resisted the temptation.

However, I really miss my mum, and want whatever comfort I can get so am looking for a word of mouth phsycic / tarot reader whatever, to get that comfort.

Any recommendations for anyone around the hampton court area?

woooo joash! scary alright! I was told by a medium at a clairvoyant forum to stay well away from what she called "the spirit world" and told me never, ever to use a Ouija board. Apparently I'm too vulnerable spiritually & could be "used"! Urghhh! This was years ago & I have never dabbled in that stuff since. Also, she predicted something that would happen to me, not v. nice, really and it did happen. A long ghost story; won't bore anyone with it here.

I've been to a few readings over the past 10 years - some good & some useless.

I do believe in pyschic ability but the best way to choose a medium is through recommendations cos I'm certain there are some frauds out there!

The best one I had was this Jan near Southend. I went with my sister who was ttc after 2 miscarriages (1 of which was an ectopic) & she was told she would be telling everyone she was pregnant in 2-3 months.
She is now 9 weeks pregnant & will be telling the family in March after her 12 week scan.

She also told me I had a daughter (true),
I am setting up my own business (true)
I would need a blood test (was waiting for the results from one at the time)
My Dad had left my Mum in the last 5 years & re-married (true)

She also told my sister that a close family friend of her's had died suddenly recently of a heart attack, which was true, he died in October last year.

I think if you get a genuine one, they're great, as long as you don't plan your life around what they tell you.

I have always been totally fascinated (but am also quite sceptical) by this sort of thing, but have never had a reading. Sorry if this is a really dumb question but how do you find out where to get them done? Psychics don't advertise in the Yellow Pages, do they?!

Report
Snugs · 17/02/2005 12:20

Well they do in our local yellow pages snafu - listed as clairvoyants.

Not the best way to find one tho - recommendation really is the way to go.

Report
snafu · 17/02/2005 12:30

Do they? I must admit I'd never looked - just assumed not, for some reason. OK, well, if anyone can recommend one in the Croydon area I'd be fascinated...

The same gypsy from my earlier post (Saturday, 12 February, 2005 11:36:25 AM) also said that I wanted to be with 'Paul' - but I made the right choice in the end - now how the hell did she know that name?

Hi All
Hope i am not too late to cotnribute. I used to go to the following Lady very often. she reads Tarot and when the cards are spread she reads as if she is reading a book. She does not look up at you until she is ready for you to deal the cards again. She was very accurate. She is also a medium and palm reading so when you do ask questions at the end of the reading dependant on the Question she will also tune into these other areas. Her name is Kristana (not real obviously)

This is the last address i had for her.

Good luck
