For all of us, it was the tops. Brilliant to either wear solo or under clothing, especially on very cold days.

For myself, I definitely would. I love the feel and style of the products.

Oh interested in this as I'm a teacher & currently surviving in arctic conditions daily with the windows open to avoid covid!

They are comfortable, fit well and are not too bulky. The children like that the hats cover their ears.

Women’s wear- the joggers. They’re not too baggy and are very warm.

Menswear- thermal long sleeved top. Perfect for working outside, not too bulky to wear under clothes.

Children- hats. They are very warm and keep ears warm.

I had not heard of them before.

We use them when out and about at the weekend on walks and bike rides. My husband wears his when he works outside.

Yes. We’d like to buy more for all the family- we’d like to look at thermal leggings and gloves, scarves. I am also interested in the blankets for camping.

1. What did you like about the Uniqlo HEATTECH range? I really liked how toasty the clothing kept us. The products aren't too badly priced and they seemed to really keep us warm.

Womenswear - jeggings for sure, skinny leg, stretchy, comfy! Very comfy actually. My new fave jeggings to wear. Menswear - t shirt, lightweight but good enough to keep my other half walk, but not too hot. Kidswear - gloves that you can use your phone with. Fab quality, very happy with them.

Never heard of it before.

1. How do you use your Uniqlo HEATTECH products and how well do they fit in with your family’s lifestyle?

We wear our clothing items daily, not for a particular special occasion however if I was to be spending a while outdoors I would absolutely opt for wearing their clothing over non HEATTECH items.

Yes - mainly for myself just because of how comfy the jeggings are, I really want a pair in every colour!

It's very comfortable and does help to keep me/us warm.

1. Which was your favourite HEATTECH product and why? (Please share an answer for womenswear, kidswear and menswear, if applicable)

Women's ultra warm leggings - very soft a bed stretchy (still fit in second trimester), comfy and warmer than normal leggings. Probably supposed to be worn under trousers but I wear them under long tops, dresses or long jumpers. Men's long sleeved top - these are great for layering. DH wears them under jumpers or under an open shirt. I bought him the ultra warm one for Christmas as well but he wears that one just on its own. Kids - can't comment as the sizing wasn't right so it hasn't been worn.

1. How familiar were you with the Uniqlo HEATTECH range prior to the test? Had you tried any HEATTECH products before or heard about it from a friend?

I'd had a couple of Heattech tops (ballet neck and an extra warm scoop neck) which I liked and still use a couple of years on. I was pleased to try out various leggings and a different style top this time.

1. How do you use your Uniqlo HEATTECH products and how well do they fit in with your family’s lifestyle?

I wear the tops under whatever I'd wear anyway (ballet neck and scoop neck can often go under a top or dress, whilst other styles can go under a jumper). I wear the leggings with a long top/jumper. DH wears his tops as above.

1. Would you want to explore more of Uniqlo’s HEATTECH range based on the items you’ve trialled? If so, for whom and why?

Yes, in fact, my only gripe is that I've tried to order various other products multiple times and they're always out of stock of that colour/size and when one comes back into stock, the others don't, and I want to order them all under one postage cost! The stock levels have been frustrating and I couldn't order many of the products I wanted to test or to buy as gifts. Otherwise, yes, I've recommended and bought a few bits as gifts. A wider maternity range would be great though.

1. What did you like about the Uniqlo HEATTECH range?

Thin, warm items that are really comfy and wash well. I have ten year old heattech tops that have lasted brilliantly.

Men's ultra warm top. My son loves it (14) and I will buy him some more as he wants to wear it all the time.

Yes, love them. You have to be careful what you buy as it never seems to ages, even when washed 1000 times.

All the time when it's cold, and very well. Every one likes their under tops.

Yes, more the underwear and the trousers, as mainly we have bought just tops.

I loved how they were so functional and also looked good. Thermal layers are always popular in our house as we love to get outdoors. My son is taking his new top on Beaver camp this weekend.

I loved the women's fleece turtle neck top as it looks good enough on it's own, or is super warm as an under layer. The extra warm cotton crew neck (both in kids and mens) were great products that I can see getting a lot of use as they look smart and are so warm.

The only products I knew were from the previous mumsnet trial, so it was good to put more items to the test.

They are perfect for our lifestyle. Clothes like these are great for layering up for winter walks and are also great for getting cosy for nights in watching films.

Defintiely, especially for the children, who are always in need of quality outdoor clothes that last.

Womenswear- the scarf was so warm and cosy

Menswear - the socks were thick enough for work boots and were comfortable

They are really good quality warm clothes, we used them for outdoor walks, PE and work so a wide variety of uses

Yes absolutely, will be buying more socks and leggings for sure and am eyeing up the womens leggings

My daughter loves her Heattech jeans with the fleecy inside, and I love my bra top vest.

Yes, we knew about Heattech beforehand, we're big Uniqlo fans!

We use them all the time when the weather is cold! My husband in particular loves Heattech vests.

Yes of course, I'd like to try more layers for me for sure, my daughter would probably like to try some Heattech tops, and my husband some layering pieces as well.

What did you like about the Uniqlo HEATTECH range? I loved that there was so may different items to choose from in lots of different neutral colours.

(Please share an answer for womenswear, kidswear and menswear, if applicable) apart from some vest tops for myself which are amazing, i chose something completely different for me and my family. Instead of clothes, i decided to choose some lovely heat tech blankets! I got two perfectly sized pink ones for my girls which have buttons to allow you to wear it as a poncho style, which they love to do on cold mornings on the sofa or when watching their tablet. I then chose a double size chocolate brown heat tech flufy blanket for my bed which is absolutely gorgeous and keeps me so warm at night. Absolutely love my choices.

1. How do you use your Uniqlo HEATTECH products and how well do they fit in with your family’s lifestyle? We use the blankets every single day without fail, they really retain the heat and have been so useful this winter.

1. Would you want to explore more of Uniqlo’s HEATTECH range based on the items you’ve trialled? If so, for whom and why? I think the womens sizes are a bit hit and miss but i definitely am interested in more items for my children. Some lovely pieces.

Womenswear: Women HEATTECH Pile Lined Joggers - incredibly comfortable and warm Kidswear: Kids HEATTECH Ultra Stretch Denim Pull-On Trousers BLUE - comfortable and warm Menswear: Men HEATTECH Turtleneck Thermal Top - perfect for skiing

1. How familiar were you with the Uniqlo HEATTECH range prior to the test? Had you tried any HEATTECH products before or heard about it from a friend? I had tried them as part of the Mumsnet trial.

1. How do you use your Uniqlo HEATTECH products and how well do they fit in with your family’s lifestyle? For outdoor activities, and around the house to avoid turning the heating up.

1. Would you want to explore more of Uniqlo’s HEATTECH range based on the items you’ve trialled? If so, for whom and why? Yes, especially leggings for my daughter and thermal joggers for my son, for warmth without too much bulk and heaviness.

1.What did you like about the Uniqlo HEATTECH range?

The fabrics used for each of the products we chose are really good quality, wash well, have lots of stretch, and are so soft next to the skin. The garments are more utilitarian than fashion led, but this also makes them very versatile and they will appeal to a broad range of consumers. The fit of most of the products was good - I used both the sizing calculator and reviews from customers to decide which sizes to choose for each product. The items we chose varied in thickness but we found them all to be effective in keeping us warm.

1. Which was your favourite HEATTECH product and why? (Please share an answer for womenswear, kidswear and menswear, if applicable)

Womenswear: I wanted to try leggings but reading reviews on sizing, the ones that would be most likely to fit me (I'm a size 4-6) were out of stock and those available in my calculated size would be too large so I chose the kids extra warm leggings in age 13 and they fitted perfectly. They are fine enough to wear as a base layer but are opaque enough to wear as regular leggings. I have skinny legs and these fit really well, and haven't gone baggy.

Menswear: Crew Neck Long Sleeve T-Shirt. Ultra fine weight which meant my partner could wear it under any type of clothing without looking as if he was wearing layers. Surprisingly warm, considering how fine it is. The sizing was good and it has plenty of stretch.

Kidswear: The Ultra Stretch Denim Slim Fit Pull On Trousers are the softest, most comfortable jeans the kids have ever had (we ordered the black and the blue), and are a great fit in the waist and leg length but our kids are very slim and despite being described as slim fit, they felt they were a little too straight in the leg for their taste.

I need to give a special mention to the Men's Heattech Pile Socks. They are so comfy to wear and keep feet so warm that I have actually claimed them for myself. Worn with chunky ankle boots, I love how bouncy every step feels. And they are anti microbial.

1. How familiar were you with the Uniqlo HEATTECH range prior to the test? Had you tried any HEATTECH products before or heard about it from a friend?

I was aware of the HEATTECH range as I was already subscribed to Uniqlo emails because I studied fashion and I'm interested in their designs, but I hadn't tried any of the products before this. I haven't seen any of my friends mention Uniqlo but now we've tested these products I'll be sharing our feedback and hopefully some of them will discover some new favourites.

1. How do you use your Uniqlo HEATTECH products and how well do they fit in with your family’s lifestyle?

We live on the beautiful west coast of Scotland and like to get outdoors as much as we can but it's not always that warm so thermal layers are essential. These Uniqlo products offer warmth without the bulk, and are so soft to wear.

1. Would you want to explore more of Uniqlo’s HEATTECH range based on the items you’ve trialled? If so, for whom and why?

I would definitely be open to exploring other HEATTECH products as we've been so impressed with the ones we've tried. I'd be interested in women's, men's and kids garments as we spend a lot of time at the beach all year round.

The tops and leggings were of good quality, the leggings were very warm and cosy. The tops kept us all warm.

My favorite item was the woman's leggings they fitted great and kept me warm without me adding another layer on top.

I had never heard about HEATTECH before or shoped at Uniqlo.

1. How do you use your Uniqlo HEATTECH products and how well do they fit in with your family’s lifestyle?

Im a football mum so every weekend and twice a week I'm in the cold, the HEATTECH products really made a difference.

1. Would you want to explore more of Uniqlo’s HEATTECH range based on the items you’ve trialled? If so, for whom and why?

I would love to explore more of the ladies' items and also the childrens.

1. What did you like about the Uniqlo HEATTECH range?

We liked how simple the range was - good range of basics. We also really liked the fit. The length was good on the women's tops, and the children's tops are smooth, soft and stretchy.

Women's: Extra warm tops - really comfortable and cosy. Also really like the socks which are really soft. Men's: Long sleeve tshirt - good quality with proper cuffs. Children's: Long sleeve tshirt - so soft and comfortable and a lovely shape

1. How familiar were you with the Uniqlo HEATTECH range prior to the test? Had you tried any HEATTECH products before or heard about it from a friend?

Only a women's top from the first phase of the trial - which I didn't rate very highly as it was white and completely seethrough. View has been changed now having seen the rest of the range and trying some of it out.

1. How do you use your Uniqlo HEATTECH products and how well do they fit in with your family’s lifestyle?

Child uses her top under summer dresses so that she can carry on wearing them in cold weather. Women's and men's tops are used as tshirts in their own right. They work really well for us as a family as we like comfortable, practical clothes which look nice but aren't necessarily high fashion.

1. Would you want to explore more of Uniqlo’s HEATTECH range based on the items you’ve trialled? If so, for whom and why?

Yes we'd like to try more of the range for the children. I didn't order much as they already have too many clothes but I have made a mental note to use Uniqlo heattech for their winter basics in the future. We will also use Uniqlo for our adults basics too.

What did you like about the Uniqlo HEATTECH range?
The clothes are warm and look great. They fit nicely under jumpers but they’re also fine to wear on their own.

I absolutely love the socks for both women and men. From the kids range I bought jeans and they’re slightly thicker than normal so great for chilly walks.

I had one top which I’ve had for a few years and lived in during the winter months.

I wear my tops and socks everyday. My husband is also a convert and raves about the socks. He was dubious about his heattech t-shirt at first but now wears it whenever he’s working outside.

I’d like to try the heattech fleece top, it looks perfect for chilly walks.

Jogging bottoms (womens). Super comfortable but still a bit stylish

Had heard of the brand but was unsure about navigating the sizing as I thought it might be different to usual shops I use

1. How do you use your Uniqlo HEATTECH products and how well do they fit in with your family’s lifestyle?

Use them for working from home, uniform is now joggers, thermal top and a cardy!

Yes, I would try the mens thermal tops for my husband when he is working from home.

1. What did you like about the Uniqlo HEATTECH range?

The style was simple and fit with existing wardobe items. Everything was washing machine friendly and the items weren't bulky and were easy to layer.

The womens black leggings and ditto for childrenswear (albeit they're slightly large no the waist for my daughter, evne though i sized down). Husband has found the long sleeved tops ideal for watching football outdoors.

1. How familiar were you with the Uniqlo HEATTECH range prior to the test? Had you tried any HEATTECH products before or heard about it from a friend?

I had only tried as part of this research. I was aware of the range, but thought it was principally for outerwear rather than mid and base layers.
When speaking to friends about what we've been trialing, no-one has been aware of the range specifically (although most know the brand)

1. How do you use your Uniqlo HEATTECH products and how well do they fit in with your family’s lifestyle?

We live in a draughty old house so they've mostly been sued as loungwear by me and my daughter. Husband loves the long sleeve top under his sweater and gilet combo when attending football as a spectator.

1. Would you want to explore more of Uniqlo’s HEATTECH range based on the items you’ve trialled? If so, for whom and why?

Prpbably not, but purely since what we have is sufficient for our needs. If we were to re-do our old trips to Canada in Winter or go on a winter sports holiday, I'd definitely invest.

This is all very well - but UNIQLO have sold out of most of the ranges of tops, and have been since before Christmas

I have been desperate for new Heat Tech Cotton top, even in a hideous colour (there is a selection....) as it wouldn't be seen, but no mid-sizes (M) available at all. Only XXXS in about 1 colour and XXL in another.

1. What did you like about the Uniqlo HEATTECH range? I like that they are discreet, comfortable and non bulky. Fair price point.

Tops for all of us.

Yes I have used heat tech tops before.

I would love to try the leggings as I think they looked really nice and can imagine they are great for working from home in the winter. I tried to order somw but the sizes were out of stock.

I’m the same @HomeHomeInTheRange , I keep checking back to see if they’ve restocked. I suppose I will need to look in the summer but I will have forgotten I need them by then .

I'm not a tester, and in fact I don't even live in the UK, but I utterly love the heattech long-sleeve black tops. They feel so silky smooth, they go with just about anything, and they're pretty inexpensive too for that quality. Don't suppose there's a chance you'll send me a few if I say more nice truthful things about them, Uniqlo?

@HomeHomeInTheRange, @Theteapotsbrokenspout, the website in the country where I live still has most stock in most sizes and colours. Maybe if you're planning a trip abroad sometime you could pop into a local Uniqlo and stock up? I appreciate that's possibly not the easiest thing to arrange in February and with pandemic restrictions...

As a long time user, they also wash very well over years and keep their colours / shape.
