DH keeps asking what I want but apart from earl grey tea bags and soap I honestly don’t want anything!
What would you like for Christmas? 🎄

Think I’m going to ask the kids to choose a succulent and a pot each for me
I’m getting into gardening so will ask for some gardening vouchers from in-laws
Some coasters
Nice sugar soap shower stuff
My parents normally get us a day spa voucher each...

I've asked for some skincare, my skin has been so dry and blotchy since having DS2, so some decent skin care products are my ask this year.

Pretty rucksack to use as a gym bag (I'm currently using a single-strap one which is annoying)

A couple of fancy items from a clothes catalogue we use occasionally

Sweets. Last year I listed all the sweets and chocolate I particularly like (and still only got one box, from lovely MiL)

Various books - some heavy going, some easier

books of puzzles

Body Shop-level moisturiser, scent, shower gel etc

I try not to buy stuff for myself so that I can put things I actually need and use on present lists.

I want a night away in a hotel with hubby and no kids... including a nice dinner and all the wine!

I want a breast milk necklace off the kids.

I want a new bag for work.

I want beautiful photo books of my son but it's not going to happen 😕

I'd also like a breastmilk necklace, do you have a company in mind, @Mammyloveswine?

@merryhouse I got loads from the body shop off DH last year (I ordered it though so knew what I was getting Grin )
Books too which I chose, second hand off eBay but were like brand new when they arrived. I’d love some books this year too but I’ve read all the ones by my favorite author, Paige Toon.

A bike.
A really fancy box of chocolates.
A beautiful satchel style handbag.
Sunglasses that aren't from primark.
Makeup that isn't from ALDI,
A bottle of perfume.

What DH will actually get me - who knows. Maybe a toblerone and a set of salad forks if I'm lucky.

A 'new' 2nd hand Xbox 360 and new controller😀 mine are pretty much knackered and driving me mad.
If I went mad I would also like:
Books.
New shoulder bag with lots of compartments/zips. But have been looking for months with no luck.
I would say perfume but not at those prices!

My mother has been asking me this for weeks, and I don't want anything. Not a single thing. I don't like useless tat and knick knacks, and I truly don't need anything. She won't listen, though. I've asked her for years and years and years not to get me "stuff." She doesn't listen and it makes me crazy.

My wish list usually has at least 25 things on it at any one time...

I don’t think we’re doing gifts this year (have a wedding to pay for), but if we were I’d be very happy with one of the following:

Long stemmed dark red roses (Would be lovely as part of the Christmas dinner table display)

Cashmere scarf, dark red or camel

Cashmere jumper

A bobbi Brown voucher to be redeemed in the Jan sales

Skagen watch (love them for day-to-day watches and there’s one I’ve got my eye on)

Pair of leather trainers from Hobbs, or a pair of brogues from Dune

Necklace and pendant from Monica Vinader, or from Missoma

Earrings from Georg Jensen

Jacket from Barbour

Chelsea boots from Barbour

Merino wool patterned scarf from Toast

Handbag from Fairfax and Favour

A donation to my handbag fund!

Xmas Smile

Another year of our cleaner - dp and I agreed to get a cleaner but to forgo Xmas/birthday presents to each other last year as it's a bit of an extravagance for us financially. Im desperate not to go back now! Plus we've got too much crap already.

Same shit here with a relative turning up with stuff i have already got.Last year it was a pasta maker to go with the pasta maker from them years ago and i still have the M&S pate jars lying around from them the year before .
All i want is nothing ,except for a million quid or a fun job to go to every day .

What I will ask for: dressing gown, socks, possibly a book.

What I actually want: a weekend away in a hotel ON MY OWN. No children, no husband, no cooking or cleaning... never going to happen!

Report
Ninkaninus · 03/10/2019 17:37

@notmyrealname37 Why not? If it’s financially unfeasible then that’s fair enough. Otherwise I’m thinking that’s a great thing to ask for. And one that absolutely ought be granted.

Report
GoldenNoodle · 03/10/2019 17:42

Perfume
A generous book voucher (enough to buy several books)
