DH keeps asking what I want but apart from earl grey tea bags and soap I honestly don’t want anything!

I'm easy to please

New watch. I've been wearing dd1ms old and battered baby g one for nearly a year and it looks ridiculous on a nearly 40 year old woman.
And I like a puffs jacket in the Hush catalogue but it's quite spendy.

All I want is some fluffy boot style slippers but every Christmas I ask and every Christmas I get some hilarious novelty slippers and I nearly die every time I walk downstairs!

In fantasy land - the mulberry Millie.

In the real world - a sewing machine

@Bunnybigears send him - I assume it’s an OH that does this, if not, apologies - links to five or six different pairs you like the look of, with express instructions to get you a pair from that specific selection. Takes all the guesswork out of it for him, with no risk of disappointment, but you still get a surprise.

@legalseagull You have excellent taste. I love the Millie (can’t decide between the multicoloured one or the yellow).

Ninkaninus oh I do better than that I point out the exact ones and even offer to buy them and give them to him to wrap but he finds his way far more hilarious

I’d be highly unimpressed with that. Once is maybe ok if you both enjoy jokes like that. More than once is just rude, dismissive and actually not nice. I hope you don’t go out of your way to give him really thoughtful gifts of things he actually wants!

My birthday is in November so I need to choose couple of things. One present will be a shoulder bag. I am curious what Mugler is doing for Xmas so maybe new fragrance set etc.

For anyone who loves fragrances but budget doesn’t run to very expensive ones, I highly recommend you do a try-out at M&S - they’re very nice and very reasonable prices. I don’t buy designer anymore as I’m more than happy with what I can get at M&S, and I get a compliment whenever I wear them!

A proper birthday cake instead of a Christmas cake with a candle stuck in it.

@danmthatonestaketryanotheer is your birthday xmas day!? My son's is and i always make sure he gets a proper birthday cake and presents wrapped in birthday paper, i am always asking people with xmas day birthday what they hate/get annoyed about so that we can try to avoid it with DS.

I want a new bed for xmas, a smart winter coat and some boots.
