Newish yoga teacher ( very enthusiastic) has come up with an idea for a festive yoga class based around 12 days of christmas, using one pose per number.

So Partridge in a pear tree could be Tree asana
Lords a leaping - frog.
Maids a milking- Cow
Ladies dancing- Dancer
Swans a swimming- swan

Any suggestions for these or others?

If they don’t all have to be static asanas or you want to flow them together for a grand finale at the end 😱 -

Twelve drummers drummin' = star pose to goddess squat with cactus arms (but rotate arms as if banging a drum)
Eleven pipers pipin' = shiva twist with “namaste” hands to mouth
Ten lords a leapin' = high lunge
Nine ladies dancin' = dancer
Eight maids milkin' = rope climb (the action of, not actually climbing a rope)
Seven swans a swimmin' = standing pigeon
Six geese a layin' = has to be squat!
Five golden rings! = garland with hand mudras
Four calling birds = an “omm” chant – four times if you like!
Three french hens = mountain to standing splits
Two turtle doves = eagle arms
And a partridge in a pear tree! = has to be tree pose

I'm tempted to try this tomorrow actually 😂
