Hello, my husband and I are both in our 50's. We've been threatening to start yoga for a while now as we're both seizing up.
Could anyone recommend some good beginners videos on YouTube please?

Yoga with Kassandra is very good.
I did start with Yoga with Adriene, but I found that she talked far too much, and I progressed far better with Kassandra.

I second Kassandra, she has videos for every kind of yoga imaginable and she's clear and concise. Love her, wouldn't watch anyone else.

I third Kassandra. I find her pace nice and steady.

I’m currently doing her 30 day daily 10 minute morning routine (but I do it when I get in from work). Even after that short time, I feel much more supple. Chanting “ommmm” at the end is optional!

I like Yoga with Adriene, but I would highly recommend going along to a class with a teacher who can see you, to begin with. I find it really useful to have explanations about what bit of me I am working on, and, to a degree, why. Then for the teacher to be able to see if you've misunderstood and help you get better posture, etc.

Thank you everyone. I'll have a look at these.
I would like to go to a class but fitting it in will be difficult at the moment.

Another vote for Kassandra! Adrienne is too chatty for me but both are worth trying to see what works for you.

I'd repeat the advice to stick with the in person classes too. It's really important for getting your form right and asking questions about adjustments.

I started with Adrienne. She has several 30 day plans which are a good way to get into regular practice. I have moved on to Kassandra though. I also have the Down Dog app.
