Recommend me a yoga mat please

I've been doing yoga classes for a few months now and loving it!

However, I'm currently using my DH's old Pilates mat and I'm struggling with it a bit. It's too thick and a bit slippery.

So I'm looking for a mat with the following attributes

  • not too thick but not too thin
  • firm but not too hard
  • non slip (won't slip on the floor and my feet won't slip on the mat)
  • has the yoga markings so I know where to position myself
  • unrolls well and doesn't stay curly
  • nice and easy carry strap
  • up to about £50 (could go a little higher for the perfect mat)
  • able to buy online (as I can't easily get to the shops).

I know it's a long list. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Thanks.

I got mine from yoga matters. It sounds like you want a liforme but they are much more than £50.
Can you manage without the markings?

Liforme mats are brilliant and tick all of your boxes except price - they're more around the £80 - £100 mark. I've had mine around 3 years now and it's still as good as new.

I got this yoga mat last year and really rate it. I use it every day and no signs of wear at all.

As two of you recommended liforme I pushed the boat out and ordered one.

Thank you 🧘‍♀️

Yay! Enjoy OP. Hopefully it improves how much you enjoy your practice Smile

Just wondering if anyone can vouch for the liforme mats for hot yoga, are they non slip enough that you wouldn't need a towel on the mat?

Mine is from Action on Addiction by Orla Kiely. I've used it daily for many years.
