So before my 2 year old I went to the gym four times a week and did a lot of weight training.

It's been a while and I am now obese and want to gently start exercising again so I have joined bannatynes health club and have booked on a yoga class Tuesday.

I have no idea what I am doing and worried I am going to embarrass myself. Can anyone help me with what to expect and any dos or don'ts?

I’ve only done one class, but done yoga at home every day for the past eight months. So while I’m not an expert at what goes on in classes, my tips would be comfortable clothing, water and don’t worry about what other people are doing - yoga shouldn’t be competitive, so if you can’t stretch as far or get into a pose as well as the person next to you, it doesn’t matter. A good instructor should provide different options for many of the poses to cater for different bodies.
Maybe also check whether they provide a mat or whether you have to take one.
I hope you enjoy it. I love yoga, although my one a d only class confirmed that I mostly love yoga by myself in the security of my own home. I use Adriene’s videos on YouTube, which I can definitely recommend.
