Should I give yoga another try?

A couple of years ago I tried a bit of yoga but never really got into it , I enjoyed it but I guess wasn’t motivated enough to carry on! Should I try again? How often do you practice and how long for? What are the main benefits you find?

The best thing is to go on her channel on YouTube and you can see the videos organised by time etc.If you select "Playlists" it shows them in an organised way. I hope the following link will show you all the practices under ten minutes.

I decided to start subscribing as I'd been benefitting from her free videos for years. $99 a year and the FWFG app is very good. I like scheduling the practice to the calendar then you get a tick when you've done it.

I have practiced yoga early every morning with my studio for the last 3 years. Just finished a class there now. My studio went online during lockdown. I never miss a class. It has honestly being keeping me sane during lockdown as well as being really good for my physical health. It means I start each day off on a positive note. I give myself that time to connect with my breath and my body. I get to move my body in ways that go towards counteracting the fact that I sit at a desk wfh each day and I get to remind myself of the importance of my breath when dealing with primary children who are home with me also. I also get to leave the day before behind and not carry the frustrations of that day into this new one. I also use it to create space, so if something is on my mind I use yoga to create space in my body which then equates to more head and emotional space.

@31RooCambon I just did this quick 10 min morning flexibility flow. It was just right: challenging, invigorating and doable:

I know what you mean about the waffle! That's partly why I'm so much enjoying doing my own routine with no video, I think. It's peaceful and you can actually focus entirely on what your body and breath are doing.

I've been using a website called Glo for about a month, with some practice almost every day. You have to pay per month but there's a free trial for two weeks. It's v American but I really like it - loads of choice, very well organised for searching and big range of teachers.

Thank you everyone for the recommendations - have just tried the Sarah Beth beginners workout and feel very well stretched. Will be trying the Kassandra & 5 parks as well.

Do any of you fit-types have any youtube pilates recommendations as well?
