Rocket Yoga

Anyone tried this? What are the classes like compared to Vinyasa/Vinyasa Flow? I'm interested in trying it but a bit scared... I can't do inversions yet (beyond shoulder stands) will this make it hard for me to follow the class? Is it super fast paced as the name suggests? I've only been doing yoga a few months (this time round - I did a lot of bikram a decade ago before I learned about Bikram himself and quit) so I'm not super flexible but have good form and prefer more hard-core classes. Thanks!

Rocket is based on the primary series of ashtanga with some extra bits added in from the secondary series. Lots of inversions though you don’t have to do them - it’s a sweaty, dynamic class. I have an amazing rocket teacher at my studio who does it all in a fun way and it still feels like yoga, but can feel like a workout with some teachers and just like you are racing through stuff. If you have good form and you like dynamic classes, you should try it!

Thanks! Tried it yesterday afternoon and LOVED it! Have just done vinyasa flow, core power flow and hot yoga (vinyasa) so far. Started 12 weeks ago. It's not as hard-core as my other classes and my bpm didn't go nearly as high according to my Fitbit, bit I loved playing with inversions and balances before. Managed a headstand and a few arm balances I didn't know I could do, which was a confidence boost! I'll definitely start doing it regularly.

It’s great fun! Super challenging.

This sounds amazing, probably too advanced for me but I'll give it a go. I love hot yoga and vinyasa, but lots of poses I can't do yet. I'm old!
