Not-too-pricy mat for a sweaty person!

I go to two classes a week at my gym and the mats there are very squishy foam, and when I get sweaty I'm sliding around in downward dog. Thus I need to get myself a mat of my own. My friend has a Lifeforme which is lovely and grippy but way out of my budget.

Can you recommend a decent mat that's cheaper? Is it possible to get a decent one for £30 - £40 (or even less!) that will provide decent grip? Or any other tips for the dreaded menopausal sweaty hands and feet - I have some grippy socks and they grip the mat but slide around on my feet.

I got a Manduka Eko Lite from TK Maxx for £20. Best mat I’ve ever owned. Sometimes they come up on the website but I just went into my local branch and they had a couple too.

I’d never have paid £90 for a Manduka but I love it so much. So grippy!

I second @AgentPeggyCarter. Best mat EVER - better than the fancy yoga places

Another vote for tk maxx

Either yogi bare or Phantai do rubber mats like Lifeforme without the big price tag. Both are uk based small companies run by yoga teachers.
