Does anyone have any suggestions for a mother and baby DVD or YouTube video I could try for introducing yoga at home for me, my 3 year old and 1 year old? I’m a total novice but thought we could try something at home.

I’m also interested in recommendations for yoga classes that are good for mothers and baby/toddlers. EffraSpace sounds interesting. Does anyone know of others? Thank you in advance!

Sorry, I forgot to say that we’re in South London.

Your kids are a funny age bracket that I found hard for kids yoga classes (central london). Too big for mum and baby and too young for most children's classes.

I will recommend some gorgeous books though. My 4 and 2 year old get them off the shelf, get out the mat and do their own yoga now! For older ones it's the Morning and Nightime Yoga books by Mariam Gates and illustrated by Sarah Jane Hinder. For the little one, Yoga Bug, also by Sarah Jane Hinder is adorable. 4 year old DS teaches 2 year old DS yoga from the first two books. So cute.

Yes, you’re exactly right about their ages which is why I thought maybe we could try something at home with a Youtube video or something. The three year old will do it with me but the little one can at least be present and play alongside and join in when he’s ready.

In terms of classes if there was something suitable for me and the toddler I might try to arrange some childcare for the one year old for a couple of hours.

Those books you’ve recommended sound lovely. I’m definitely going to look those up. And what an absolutely adorable image of the two little ones doing it together. It does sound super cute!

Thank you for replying!

I sometimes do cosmic kids yoga on YouTube, with mine. It's not such a workout for an adult but the DC enjoy it (2 & 5yrs when I started it) as it has a storyline and the yoga poses are basically acting to story out.

Thank you, Swimming. That looks like just the kind of thing we’d like to try. It is more for their benefit so it’s ok if it isn’t that challenging and given how unfit I am right now it will probably suit me just fine 😉.

I’ve just ordered the books that Loraline very kindly mentioned so I’ll let you know if they go down well. Thank you both for the tips.
