I do breath retention helps me focus as the counting is a distraction as my mind wanders easily. I am calmer, my mind is more focused and sleep better. I follow Dylan Werner's classes. It was a natural progression for me breath is the most important area to concentrate on in yoga it's also improved my practice I love it.
