And my thighs hurt already. I did it in 32 at the beginning of the year and have kept up a regular practice, not daily but fairly close. I had to stop for four weeks as I had a small op and had to rest forgotten how bloody fabulous she is

InfiniteSheldon thank you - you have given me a different way to look at. It’s less perfect, but much more sustainable and probably more Adrienne 😊.

Bobbiepin · 23/12/2017 17:55

@Hockneypool she's only 8 weeks at the moment it's just a matter of how long she's happy to be on the play mat for. How long is each session?

greyfriarskitty · 23/12/2017 23:20

I managed to do two sessions in one day a couple of times this week, but family have arrived so it’s downhill all the way from here...

Hockneypool · 24/12/2017 10:07

@Bobbiepin each session has a different time. The shortest is about 20 mins and the longest 45 minutes.

Do you think your baby will manage that? I can see you chatting to the baby and trying to breathe as you go. Sounds like fun!

Bobbiepin · 24/12/2017 11:39

Hmmm we'll see! Some days she'll nap for an hour, others not so much. I'll do what I can I guess.

InfiniteSheldon · 24/12/2017 11:56

I do practice with my chihuahuas jumping all over me the puppy is only six months she was trying to curl up and go to sleep on my back yesterday. It all adds to the fun. I've done several sessions with the grandchildren they usually join in/fall about laughing, 9 months and 3

I'm signed up for January.

I have done the others, usually taking about 2-3 months to get through them all.

Might manage every day this year (optimistic!Smile).

newfunahead · 26/12/2017 12:22

Ok I'm just watching this thread for now! Do you think it's possible to do it as a complete yoga beginner?

I do pole fitness at the moment and really need to improve my flexibility but I've never done yoga before

CountFosco · 28/12/2017 07:44

Another one who is planning on doing True in Jan. I take ages to go through because I don't do it every day (3 days a week definitely though, I swim on the other days) but then spend the next few months working back through the older 30 days series.

InfiniteSheldon · 28/12/2017 09:22

Definitely suitable for beginners the hardest thing with yoga is understanding that working at your own pace/ability is fine there is no competition. I love Adrienne as she really reassures me when I'm having a meh day that a half hearted practice is still fine.

I've signed up, been really struggling to get to a class since 2 DC and work so would love to get back in the habit!

Kookietoo · 28/12/2017 09:34

I’ve not heard of Adrienne before but have just signed up & am keen to give it a go! I haven’t done any yoga for years and only tried classes off & on nothing consistent. Any tips to share? I just found this thread while scrolling through active threads...thanks Smile

pitterpatterrain · 28/12/2017 16:50

Kookie I haven't done Adrienne before - started doing 3 salute to the sun each morning, feels good tbh, a step in the right direction

Josieannathe2nd · 28/12/2017 17:12

Ooh. Sounds like exactly what I need. I’m going to start a yoga class in january too so some daily practice will be needed. I’ve signed up!

twiney · 28/12/2017 17:22

Should we start a new True thread so people can come together easily?! Ive seen the True thing mentioned on a few different threads

Paperdove87 · 28/12/2017 17:36

I've just signed up to True. A thread might be a good idea! I love yoga and YWA I just never managed to sustain regular practice for long. This is the January right?

Paperdove87 · 28/12/2017 17:37

Also I love that there is an orientation video only on jan 1st and then practice actually starts on jan 2nd. That woman has no illusions!

WeAreGerbil · 28/12/2017 18:27

I've signed up too, I do yoga at home regularly, but it's good to try something new.

Dolallytats · 28/12/2017 18:40

Is it suitable for a vastly overweight beginner who needs to ease gently into the world of exercise?? And has a tiny living room?? And a very excitable cockapoo!!

InfiniteSheldon · 29/12/2017 11:36

Absolutely just adds to the fun

OP posts:
Tiedie · 29/12/2017 13:08

I've just signed up too! When do you do it? I'm so busy or tired with work and family that I'm not sure when I can fit it in...but it has to be possible, right? Maybe after dinner, before bed?

InfiniteSheldon · 29/12/2017 13:43

Most days I do it as soon as I get out of bed before I get distracted
